True enough broseph, I'm just itching for this one though. It's the only game I'm legit hyped for. I bought a PS4 just for this shit.

Hey dude I hear ya. I bought my first PS3 (80 gig BC) in June '08 for MGS4, so I know how much WE love our MGS. Been on board since the MSX days. I bought MGS GZ for $15 on Xbox live sale not long ago even though I already played it. ITS MGS dude!! I am hoping to play it also. I am also slightly drunk because I have my own place FINALLY!!!! (since getting home from active duty in Jan) and I am drunk.

Hopefully they'll be showing PC footage rather than PS4.

I don't know whats going on now. They showed off a white metal gear themed PS4 which looked cool. Then they started showing off metal gear themed snacks and iphone cases.

I'm sure competition will be fierce next year, but yeah, all my bets are on MGSV.

I know it'll be my goty at least.

Hoohah!! No school till 3 pm tomorrow so I drank. Need my check from VA on the first to buy an HDTV so I can hook up my console and get back together with friends on Destiny.

Looks alright. MGS4 had the benefit of being hyped to the moon because it was the PS3's first big title, MGSV no longer has the luxury.

It'll probably be a good game though, MGS in general is a poorly written series and shows Kojima's longing to be Michael Bay. But the stories have usually be entertaining enough to keep me playing until the end. I'll probably get the game regardless but GOTY 2015? Not even close, it'll be extremely lucky to break AAA status.

Yeah dude, I don't think anyone is really thinking about the story here lol. We already know that the core mechanics are great and work well in a sandbox from GZ. We already know that the game is going to massive both in world and in content.

This game is taking all the best aspects of MGS, cranking them up to 100 and shedding all the loose end BS.

AAA is in the bag already.

GotY? It stands a good chance, I can only think of a few competing games at the moment. Of course you never know what kind of surprise can come out of left field.

Compared to every other franchise and game out there, MGSV is clearly making a huge development besides "hey guys a few new things, bye" now.

Zelda 2015, Uncharted, Bloodborne (if it comes out next year) Division, Rainbow Six Siege, Evolve, Arkham Knight, No Man's Sky, New Xenoblade, Witcher 3. Probably more if I look a gain

Lets also remember that hardly anyone gave a shite about MGSV at E3 and it didn't even win any notable awards.

Make no mistake, I wouldn't play Bloodborne either, but the fact is with all the hype and awards its gotten and that MGSV was practically an afterthought at E3, it has a better chance of being GOTY.

Zelda, Bloodborne, Witcher 3. Those are the 3 I would have listed. Arkham Knight is a good call though. lol @ some of those others.

To count MGSV completely out is a bit silly on your part though. Especially counting it out of AAA in general. Like somehow the best MGS game by a long shot will end up being the worst scoring of the bunch.

And a game that we've seen for a few years now that already had a lengthy demo available isn't going to rake up E3 awards left and right. That usually happens for big reveals, or first time playables.

Even so, it still generated a lot of buzz.

Definitely a PC release, day 1? I was high too, I forgot.

And I won't get into it, but MGS4 has NOTHING on MGS3. Don't let it ruin your expectations for MGSV though, completely different beast here.

Yeah, next year is loaded man. I've been drifting away from gaming a bit, but it looks like that won't be an issue here soon.

That gameplay though.... just imagine MGS3 on steroids. Scaling cliff sides, sneaking through jungles in the rain, setting up decoys, calling in a bad ass teleporting sniper to watch your back.

All the previous gameplay (and the Afghanistan map in general) look boring as **** now. I can't even begin to recall all the new options they just showed in this presentation.

@Blabadon: Haha, right? So now we've seen small segments of Africa and Afghanistan. I wouldn't complain one bit if those are the only locales, but I'm wondering if there is more. I'll probably spend more time doing missions in Africa to build up my base, I really dig the environment.
