Microsoft: 2011 is going to be great for 'core' Xbox gamers

I know they can do both pretty easily, it's sad that they have so much money but have such a weak first party studio lineup , there's really no excuse.

Well, they did just open three new studios. Unfortunately, only one of them is working on core games.

How important will Xbox 360 be to hardcore gamers this year?
Hardcore gamers are where it started and absolutely, we've got Gears, great games like Homefront, Batman: Arkham City... if you like core games - and I'm a core gamer - this is going to be an incredible year, what you're seeing here today is just the beginning.

As you can see, he is not answering a question regarding what specifically Microsoft is doing, but what the entire platform will have to offer. For obvious reasons he can not mention unannounced Microsoft games.

I'm expecting a lot of Kinect stuff at E3. Gears 3, Halo Combat Revolved + useless teaser of the next Halo, update on Kingdoms and blowout of Forza 4. Not expecting any surprises on the non-motion game front at all.

It's confirmed. 2 Exclusives announced at E3, bunch of Multiplats and early DLC's, and a bunch of Kinect games? We got a winner for E3 2011!

I think it's a shame they they are so succesfull and they're trying so little with their first party. For that very reason I refuse to support MS anyore than I have to for my PC to work. They have made it abundantly clear that they won't reward loyal customers with ambitious and passionate contributions to the industry.

I hope so...

Halo CE, Forza 4, and Gears 3 is not enough on the exclusive side these days. You need a good 5-6 rocking exclusives to brag. M$ stfu and go make some games!
