No chance it's going to win in America then :|
All the americans i have met where actually quite smart dude, Baseless generalisation of an entire country confirmed.love that number 1 is games and i'm yet to see anything from their first party which i haven't seen before. At least Sony have a good track record of great games, Microsoft have 3/4 and thats it, this new console i was hoping they would pull a show stopper out and show us something new but yet again they haven't.

5) Innovation Xbox One has shown tremendous innovation since it was revealed shortly before E3 earlier this year. The console is the first gaming console to feature an HDMI input device, the first system to announce external storage support and has added an improved 1.75 GHz GPU late in the console's production cycle. Xbox One will support plenty of new features including important enhancements like quicker loading times, greater graphical output, an ability to switch between apps and games effortlessly and even an ability to run multiple programs at once. The company has recently announced even more features that will make Xbox One a unique console to own such as Smart Glass integration and cloud-based gaming. It's this type of innovation that made both the original Xbox and Xbox 360 such a success, and Xbox One should continue to see the same progress.
4) Kinect Improvements The original Kinect was an impressive piece of hardware that allowed supported games to receive some pretty cool motion control and voice command features, but it didn't quite have the impact Microsoft had envisioned. The all new Kinect will come packaged with every Xbox One console and boast plenty of new improvements. Technological advancements have been made for the device on Xbox One including a 1080p camera and 1:1 movement ratio recognition that will make the device virtually lag free between players' movements and what is registered in games. Xbox One users will be able to customize Kinect usage from completely disabling it to using it to turn on and off consoles, instantly recognize who is using the console and more. The new support of Kinect with every Xbox One console should see developers take more chances with putting special Kinect exclusive content into their games that every Xbox One owner can now take advantage of.
3) Allocation of Resources Microsoft is one of the most successful companies in the world, and the large amount of resources used to create consoles, secure console exclusives and develop new products, software and hardware has been the key to the success of the Xbox name. Xbox One has already secured many highly popular exclusives that are in development and will be available at launch or shortly after. The company is known for its great ideas and its support of those ideas; Xbox LIVE Arcade, Achievements and downloadable game content hasn't been around forever, and Microsoft's support of these new ideas was a big reason why these features have become such important mainstays for games on every platform.
2) Flexibility Xbox One was revealed to be the first video game console that would require an always online connection and a used game policy that wouldn't allow players to trade in their old games as they have become accustomed to. Microsoft's original plans for the Xbox One were trashed shortly after public outcry following E3 earlier this year, but some analysts in the industry viewed this as a weakness and instability in the company, while it was really a sign of the flexibility the company sustains to alter its plans to remain one of the best gaming consoles around. Meanwhile, the quick turnaround for the upset fan base shows customer loyalty to Microsoft and Xbox One is strong as ever.
Indeed, the motion improvements which are optional, the customer loyalty to listen to the fans and change to their liking, having a better launch line up than the competition and of the 360, having a system that has it's own car and a 200% raise in European pre-orders and the fact the Xbox One's are flying off the shelves are just some of many reasons Xbox One will win. This site sees that and shows the clear advantages over the competition. Keep dreaming... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ma1V6Dglms41) Exclusive Games At the end of the day, the most important things a gaming console can do is play good video games, and Xbox One is ensuring its future success by securing several exclusive titles for the console. Dead Rising 3 is one of the most anticipated zombie titles ever, Ryse: Son of Rome is looking to be a great new franchise for the system and Forza Motorsport 5 looks amazing for a franchise that is known for putting out one high quality release after another, and all three of these games will be available exclusively for Xbox One at launch. There will also be some early downloadable classics available for Xbox One launch that includes Peggle 2 and Killer Instinct that should help boost console preorders. Other great releases are also in development for Xbox One that look just as amazing or better such as the highly anticipated shooter, Titanfall, and the strong launch lineup and exclusive titles are placing Xbox One in a great position to be the winner of the next generation of gaming.

in number 5 (Innovation) they talk about external storrage device, well lets get it straight, the ps3/ps4 had already done this by allowing you to change the internal hard drive, Xbox one however does not allow you to change your harddrive which means your'll need a harddrive if your a digital gamer and thats the only way around it. and the whole 1.75GHz isn't the ps4 higher?
Number 2 (flexibility) you didn't listen in the beginning this whole DRM was going around in rumours months before they announced it and there was out rage then and yet MS still came out with it, and the reason they back tracked and lets talk a good few weeks after defending it, because pre order sells were so low it would of never worked.
Number 3 (allocation of resources) yet agin talks about games but the best qoute is "highly popular exclusives", and there you go, we all know what were getting for the next 7years, halo, forza, Gears, o and timed exclusives TITANFALL and they still speak like it's there game when we have already been told by the people who make it want to bring it to ps4 once there contract finishes which will be about 2months after it launches.Â
Unless your blinded and are just a fanboy then your'll see that everything listed their except from the kinect ps4 is doing, except for the hdmi part but they have joined forces with viacom to stream channels.
One more thing aswel, free to play games, if i am mistaken i am sorry but these games are free, sony has said they will be infront of there paywall, but i'm still in the thinking you still have to pay for xbox live to enjoy the "FREE TO PLAY" games
I find it funny how people have jumped into this thread with there one liners and have failed to Provide any tangible reasons as to why any of his points are wrong. All i see is a long line of weaksauce one line rebuttals.delta3074
Ok
5 reasons why MS wont win next gen:
1. $500
2. MS weak 1st party
3. Weaker Hardware
4. Xbox brand only strong in US and UK (while its loosing steam in UK, pre-order numbers tells us that). Even with a 8 million lead over the competition the Xbox360 still let the PS3 to catch up to it, if not surpass it.
5. lol kinect
Any Tangible reasons why any of his points are wrong? Innovation: Spyglass support, kinect vs External HDDÂ
Â
Hhahahaa....
Â
Wow MS desperate for sales those pre-sales most be even worse than i estimated...
Â
Innovation we are the first to announce external HDD support..

what about Spyglass support on the XB1, does the Ps4 have that? Also as far as allocation of resources goes MS are in a far better financial position to support there console than SONY is, and MS doing a 180 still fits into the very definition of being Flexible 3. Responsive to change; adaptable:@Microsoft
It doesn't need 5 points. It was a very simple onepoint with which you could've completely annihilated the competition and forced Sony to drop out of the gaming hardware business after next gen.
That goal was simply designing a significantly more powerful console graphically. And you blew it in favor of appealing to casuals. Now you'll have to deal with the consequences.
No amount of points coupled with mediocre hardwere will help you win back the fanbase you've built over years of hard work put forth by your previous sensible management.
Now you have only one option. Delay the launch till next year and go design a better console that has some value to core gamers (Kinect & TV integration is of no value to anyone, let alone core gamers)
Xbone will beat OUYAhippiesantaI know Sony is really focusing on indies but calling the PS4, the OUYA is just wrong.
Ha. Mediocre hardware. Why don't you do some research and you will find that the X1 inside is miles ahead of the PS4. The console will prove to be more powerful graphically. Sony wants to board the casual train worse than Nintendo. I believe it will be Sony that delays the console or some launch games.@Microsoft

Believe me, I'm no Sony "fanboy" like the rest here trying to downplay anything MS comes up with.Â
I'm just echoing facts presented through logical debates between many techies here on SW and on web.
Even if you ignore what the technically knowledgeable yet arguably blind hardcore Sony fans (e.g. @tormentos) say, you'll still find the general consenus, even by non-biased techies (e.g. @ronvalencia), is that the PS4 is more elegantly architected than X1 and is more powerful graphically.
If you could present a logical conclusion that contradicts the above, I'm more than willing to listen and concede to your logic.

The x360 couldnt even beat the PS3 with a 8 million lead and all the bad publicity around the PS3 at the time... what exactly makes you think that MS had any chance of destroying Sony so easily just by making a more powerfull console? Thats just stupid reasoning

I don't have to go into the technical specs of how things are glued and piped together. that's why I said for you to do research. Basically, you are stating that you are basing you opinion on general consensus. That doesn't make it fact. Don't follow the line of others to the slaughter house. I can see the Wii-U selling 15-20 million
Xbox One selling 12-15 million
Â
and PS4 selling 100+ million
My rebuttle. 5 Reasons why the Xbox one will lose next generation:
1. Price. Microsoft needs to explain why the Xbox One is worth $100 more than the PS4. So far, they have failed to do so. Price does matter.
Â
2. Bad PR. The Xbox One is a PR disaster, flip flopping more than a fish out of water. Getting people behind the Xbox One after the horrible mess back before E3 is going to be a hard one to do. Microsoft lost trust among consumers with the Xbox One.
Â
3. Launch countries. Like it or not, the Xbox One has far fewer countries at launch than the PS4. This gives the PS4 an edge right at launch and secures a foothold for next generation.
Â
4. No direction. Microsoft seems confused as to what the Xbox One wants to be. Marketing this thing is proving to be difficult since Microsoft wants the Xbox One to be both an entertainment device that can be used to control your TV and play games. This strategy does not seem to target a certain market, but try to capture a bunch of different markets all at once. This strategy is very difficult to pull off, especially in today's market.Â
Â
5. Kinect. The Kinect is a great piece of technology that sucks for video games. I can see this thing implemented in other ways but video games is not one of them since it's so limiting. Plus the thing is huge, and for people who get both the XB1 and PS4, they will most likely never take it out of the box. It's practically a waste to the gamer.
