[QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]You do know that there are laws that prohibit the selling of faulty hardware? Now,when a company admits the hardware they are selling is faulty, what do you think will happen?[QUOTE="Dualshockin"][QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"]They've admitted the problem and are fixing it for no charge to consumers. I don't think a lawsuit would do much in this case that MS isn't already doing.Dualshockin
Is this a trick question? They are legally required to fix the defective items at their costs, and if there is a safety issue (which there is not) they are required to issue a product recall. MS is already fixing the issues for free.
Wait a second:You think that if they fix the consoles for free, this means they're safe from the law? Microsoft Corp are selling hardware with a design flaw that impacts the consoles performance and reliability. This,is breaking the law.i find it amusing that you are talking out of your arse. i dont how it is in your area but where i live its a requirement to take government/economics. i'm guessing you didnt take it yet or didnt pay attention in class. ;)
[QUOTE="legalize3"]where did i say 11 mil red ringed ? no where
the problem is there is a chance, i cant standthe the fact that some guys are defending this flaw it feels liek some people sit next to their box and say to themself i hope you wont fail on me and praying......
THATS NOT ACCEPTABLE i wanna feel good about my system without knowing that there is a chance of exploding i would go to microsoft with the box and demand a new one...

Funny, I remember lots of people having to hope their PS2s didn't get a disc read error either...(mine eventually did)
And I like how everyone says the 360s will explode, since that makes them seem that much more dangerous. They don't explode. They don't catch fire. When they red ring, they just stop working.
Why do you keep bringing up the PS2? You can't justify what's happening with the 360 by yelling PS2 in response. Seriously.

Why do you keep bringing up the PS2? You can't justify what's happening with the 360 by yelling PS2 in response. Seriously. It shows the hypocrisy of the cows. They are attacking the 360 over the red ring, and they are completely ignoring the famous DRE's that hit the ps2.Actually, the small minority of people that happen to have an AAS degree in electronics [like me] fully comprehend what this saying. A design flaw just implies a potential problem. If I took apart a PS3 and Wii and studied schematics on both, I'm sure I could find flaws on both as well. Using 'Bovine' Logic that would mean both are 100% defective as well. If you cows want to debunk me, you better have working knowledge of electronics.I read through this whole topic LMAO @ the Sony fanboys who are spreadingg gloom and doom. You guys are just too much. Go play your AAA Xbox port. 8)
A design flaw is something that COULD cause problems under certain conditions. e.g. Very hot/humid environments.
A defect IS something that causes problems.
Not all 360s have problems, thus not all 360s are defective. This is called deductive reasoning, children.
Anyone who owns any electronic device should understand that said itewm WILL break down, eventually, even the PS3 and Wii.
