The ps3 was supposed to dominate and it barley out sold the 360 with a Japanese dominance. Everyone was saying the something before launch including myself. Multiplats on the 360 out performed the superior ps3. But now I am older and wiser and finished with a computer programming degree. The one thing ms has Sony beat on is money. Money that they will spend to make sure devs know how to program to the stregths of their system. A lot of people here like to undermine xbox lives 300,000 servers world wide. Another thing I have learned in my short business career now is that cloud services are huge. Multi million dollar companies with 100s of employees are taking huge advantage of cloud. MS will most certnaley try to capture this with its new system and the software to run on it. So my opinion is that MS doesn't have any new trick, it just feel confident that once we see their system work with all it's features including the 300,000 servers, we will be presently surprised. That is just my opinion. I won't make the same mistake I did with the last consoles.urbansys

To wait for both consoles to be released before i make my decision on which to buy. I wish i never bought the PS3 as once i got the 360 i never touched it again. Games ran smoother and I am sorry but xbox live is soooo much better than PSN. I wont make the mistake of listening to all this crap before release as again its the same bs just different day.

Comparing the PS3 to this gen is silly,the PS3 had a weaker GPU with a stronger and more capable CPU vs the 360 and was a pain to code for,the PS4 is easy to code for even easier than the xbox one has been say,has the same CPU and much stronger GPU with faster memory and a more straight forward memory design.

Yeah they have they are going to church each sunday and doing some prayers so that the xbox one get a dGPU before the unit launch.

So so easy to see MS has nothing absolutly nothing to combat the PS4 power difference the only thing they can do is pay developers to gimp PS4 games,that if ony doesn't introduce a clause demanding 1080p.

Watch the Digital Foundry performance comparison. The difference in performance based on that is about 20% without taking ESRAM into account. With ESRAM it's probably even less. DF Leadbetter which is under pay by MS,they did some test using GPU that did not represent the xbox one or PS4 GPU in any way.

ESRAM mean sh** so let me ask you this how many flops ESRAM will inject into the xbox one to close that 600Gflops gap.?

Because to say with ESRAM it will be even closer that mean the ESRAM has to compensate flop wise to the xbox one in order to close the gap.

ESRAM will do nothing is a way for the xbox one to not become bandwidth starved,if MS would have predticted well that GDDR5 would be available 2013 in great numbers ESRAM would be not out of the equation,so would be DME and all that crap to help the xbox one bandwidthwise.

Regardless of the bandwidth the xbox one still has a gimped GPU.

Really goes to show just how weak Xbox One is that people are clinging to any scrap of hope they can think of that the specs might be better cuz they just can't believe the official numbers. But the specs are accurate, sad as that is. The specs are bad enough that I'm gonna buy a Playstation for the first time since the original.
