this new generation is only, what, 4 or 5 months old...it hasnt even been half a year yet. so anyone saying MS and the XB1 are out of this race are being absurd. still plenty of time in this, with plenty of incentive. the ps3 had a 6 hundred dollar pricetag on it and no really good games on it FOR YEARS, and it made a hellavah comeback. the XB1 is a hundred dollars less than that and is releasing high profile games as well, has a goods library of games already. so too count MS out of this so early isnt a good look, unless ur just trolling.

it's very possible for them to come back and surpass the ps4 eventually. cows love to say how Sony has the world backing them and MS only has the U.S. and the UK etc...but the ps3 had to catch up to the XB360 in sales. think about that. all of XB360's werent just in the U.S. and UK...it sold all over, and Sony had to gradually break back into those regions to catch up. so...that means Xbox has world appeal too. everyone brought that system, and still are buying it. not just the U.S and UK. MS held Sony back for 8 years while selling like crap in FN Japan, lol. so yea...it IS very possible for MS/XB1 to make up this ground. and with this boost in sales happening so early in the gen, its seeming even more possible. because i wasnt expecting any momentum for the XB1 until after E3, or a few months more.

What numbers are you basing this on? Numbers from your ass? Post numbers or shut up. You can't say the Xbone is gaining momentum compared to the PS4 without posting any numbers.

That's why nearly every store I go in has xbox ones sitting on the shelf and no ps4's.

Finally was in bestbuy last week when they had 2 on the shelf. I grabbed one and 10 minutes later a lady got the other one.

But yeah titanfall will give them a nice boost for a short period of time. But I have a feeling this games popularity will burn out fast.

Lol funny spin, it's only closing in on the 6m number that Sony left behind months ago, the PS4 is still comfortably outselling the X1 so the gap is only widening.

When one of the X1's biggest releases can't push sales over the PS4 you know there's trouble.

It's also funny that people didn't believe the supply constraint stuff last month but we've just seen a 74% increase in PS4 sales here because they got some stock in. And it's even selling out again already, Amazon won't have the base unit again till April.

You're really not that bright are you? You say Xbone is catching up but PS4 still outsold the Xbone for Jan and Feb NPD. Do you have a brain son? How can Xbone be catching up when it's getting outsold every month? Do you not realize that every time PS4 outsells the Xbone it's adding to the lead? PS4 released in 4 times as many places and only 2 mill ahead of xbox. So it really only seems like its selling better because it's available in more countries, if you do the math xbox is averaging more sales.

they're also forgetting the ps3 caught up, somewhat, to the XB360 while it was on a 20-30 month span of outselling ps3 on the NPD. but lets ignore that even though the XB1 is a hundred dollars less than the ps3 was, and actually has decent games in its first year lol smh.

I'm not saying it's completely true but its a valid argument let's crunch the numbers xbox at 3.6 mil in 13 territories averages out to about 277,000 consoles sold per territory, PS4 at 6 mil in 48 countries averages out to exactly 125,000 per territory. If xbox continued to sell at that same rate in 48 territories it would be about 13,296,000 in 48 territories, this is like 3rd grade math. This is like you say though given the fact that people actually care about the xbox, I can't prove they can just like you can't prove they can't. I was just throwing my thoughts out there.

And by the time PS3 caught up to xbox last gen the race was over, it wasn't a big deal because everyone was paying attention to the new consoles.

You can't split sales by countries..

Hell your math give you 277,000 consoles per territory now let go by real numbers,US has 2.2 million xbox one sold,the other 1.4 million are sold between the remaining 12 countries.

Maybe now you get the idea MS has sold almost 1 million more units in US than outside US,even that US is 1 country and there are 12 other countries, by a few months US sales can actually double outside US sales of the xbox one,this is the reason why splitting sales between territories is not viable,because US is a huge market for MS,but outside US the xbox one is basically dead.

The PS4 has sold like 2.4 or 2.5 million in US,the rest outside as you can see since sony sell great also outside,the sales of outside countries >> US ones.

What game is going to push the Xbox One past the PS4? Its not going to be Titanfall as it is not a X1 exclusive. people can get it on PC and soon on X360. Meanwhile, the PS4 is getting Infamous Second Son and MLB The Show 14....two exclusives. Not saying that they are system sellers, but from what I have been hearing for a while now, people have been waiting for Infamous before getting a PS4. The $100 price difference is also huge and until MS drops the X1's retail, the PS4 will continue to stomp it in sales!

and that is why you don't buy an Xbox One because it will have Exclusive games here and there and in the long run sony will have a steady flow of games, including better multiplats.

On to the Topic, it's all well and good throwing pecentages around but the fact is Xbox One still needs to catch up on numbers with the first 3 months before even thinking about catching PS4 in sales, if they do that then it starts being better but the jump in sales is more to do with Titanfall than anything but PS4 has got Infamous coming soon so we'll see a spike there aswel, there both selling good but, it's a long way before Xbox One reaches PS4, PS4 at the moment is doubled installed base.

The 360 outsold the PS3 3-1 in N.A. last gen, it had a year's headstart, & it was priced $200 less for 3 years after the PS3 released and the PS3 still caught up and passed it in sales.

No such advantages exist with X1 vs PS4. So how on earth could anyone believe the X1 would have a shot at winning?!

The only way would be if MS could come up with some really popular advantages, like many killer exclusive titles, or decided to start giving Xlive for free, or were able to sell the X1 for $300 or less starting this fall.

I seriously doubt MS can do anything radical enough to derail the PS4s success this gen.

It takes a great exclusive for X1 to get close to PS4 sales while PS4 has no great exclusives released. Now imagine what will happen to PS4 sales when you have Infamous Second Son, Uncharted 4, and more out. This will halt any advantages gamewise that the X1 has.
