I enjoy anime quite a bit. I even been to Anime Expo 3 years in a row, but even I admit that it's not really a stereotype. Most Anime and Manga characters actually have large eyes.

I myself have seen a shift happening in the style. Recent anime has been adopting a more realistic approach in terms of the looks of the characters in my opinion.

This reminds me of the Republican Space Rangers TV sow in GTAIV

That makes sense. They say that Osamu Tezuka, who invented the large eyes style from anime, was inspired by cartoons like Betty Boop and Mickey Mouse.

Eh not popularity. Naruto is probably the biggest japanese show since dragon ballz. It is though fantastic thematically compared to most anime imo. Reason why I watch it.

I certainly wasn't talking in terms of popularity. Also, I believe One Piece is or was bigger and Bleach is catching up as well.

If it is made by the people that made Blood+, then I guess it could have potential... I don't know, those are two things I don't think mix well. Assassin's Creed could potentially be more within the line of the anime strain. Regarding the possibility of the characters having the stereotypical anime features, it all depends on the maker. Some animes have realistic looking characters, while some have the eyes that take up half the face. Though I don't know, what would be more enjoyable...having an entirely "kiddish" style with the grunts and all (no blood, etc.) or going for pure realism. That pic shown...once again idk anymore. I don't know if Microsoft thinks this will attract more people in or something.

Well that could be true, but I was just saying that it's not really a stereotype because it's a fact that the style is widely used in anime.

I think a stereotype is more like "All black people love watermelon" which is obviously not true. Although, I do love watermelon. :P

Anime in terms of quality is huge a step up compared to live action tv show, or any of the american tv shows today. I mean besides dexter, mad men,mighty boosh, and some other shows I can't stand watching anything but anime tbh. Anime gets too much hate because it is a cartroon and a different culture :(

Anime is vast. Hating against all anime is a rather ridiculous thing to do. It's like hating all life action shows or all books or whatever.

halo is halo...it SELLS people, and until it stops selling, then they'll keep dishing it out...as long as it's good that's all i really care about

and this isn't a bad idea...there is alot more to halo than just the games, having this can allow them to tell more of the story

THOUSANDS of adults go to watch pixar movies that come out every three months
