Whats the value?

The kinect that comes with the system? Sony has a camera just like it that is sold seperately if you wish to buy one and its 60 dollars, thats still 40 dollars less for a system and the camera than a xb1 with kinect.

XBL gold? For 60 dollars a year you get 2 games a month and ability to play games online and use your netflix account. PS+ is 50 dollars a year and gives you 18 games, 5 new games a month, PSN store discounts and more. PS+ is also not required to use netflix.

The hardware? A PS4 is still superior in the hardware category by a decent margain and costs less.

Games? Sure xb1 will have exclusives but so will the ps4 and the majority of games will be on both systems, and sony is treating the indie guys much better so their support will mean more indie games.

I expected $499.  It isn't a bad price, I don't think.  I think what makes it look bad is the $399 PS4 price.  With the structure of Xbox One, it is a shame to throw in a measley 500gig drive, where games are required to be installed.  This console should ship with a 3tb hdd because of this matter, especially given the $100 premium over ps4.

It is sad to see how lazy the world is becoming.

MS really need to cancel this launch and put some people in charge who occasionally visit planet earth. Because the Xbox brand will be dead within a couple years if they continue like this, they probably won't have another chance to learn from these mistakes the way its going.

I feel like MS is doing what Sony did with the ps3 back in 2006. Just "ONE" problem the spybox one is missing all the cutting edge features from the ps3 in 2006. Back then blu-ray players were 1k and hdmi/wifi and apps were almost unheard of.

Now the spybox has less powerful hardware and more restrictions than the ps4 but claima added value. Really so what does the spybox have that makes it 100 beans better than the ps4???

It has a 1080p cam and a mic. So does my 30 buck webcam.
