And to think people complain about three maps costing $10. That is still better then buying an outfit for your avatar for $5.

What's wrong with you man? Don't you know you are supposed to complain about stuff that you aren't required to buy? That goes for the service itself. The nice thing about those silly chargeable avatar items is that you are not required to buy them. I have no desire to spend real money on my avatar, so I wont buy anything for it. Not a big deal. If some people like that stuff, let them spend their money on it. Doesnt hurt me.

I think the games in demand is a rip off. Although I own most of those games and wouldn't drop 30 bucks on them if I didn't (they can be found cheaper elsewhere) I'm absolutely disgusted that MS would try and rob me of money I would have never spent. How dare they try and make money off of me.?And how dare they force me to use my brain for once and just outright refuse without making a federal case of it?

One of the amazing things about the Xbox LIVE experience is that it's always getting better.... blah blah blah, puppies are cute, blah blah blahGodofBigMacs
How much is Microsoft paying YOU?
Paying me to just copy and past something??? The TC was actijng like nothing happened in the update so I just copy and pasted the update. Why not try and attack the message and not the messenger. It was clear from the update more was done then a few costumes that players have to pay for.after the new update, my friends list loads faster and does not freeze anymore + marketplace loads ALOT faster. microsoft owns
I liked it for a whole 5 minutes. Then I realized how dumb it is. People can rate games that aren't even released yet..I definitely like the rating system... you know, another part of the new update.

Unfortunately Rybe, I don't give a crap about games on demand, Netflix, or any of those additions. If you're going to charge me a fee for that stuff, don't make it a tying contract with playing games online. Charge me strictly for that crap and let me continue playing my games. I don't watch these movies, get games on that service, or am interested in DLC. I shouldn't have to pay for a service I don't use.Vandalvideo
I couldn't have said it better myself.

lol i see nothing important in this update. nothing that improves a gamers experience.
avatar editor? ability to rate a game? u kidding me? how about give us another 100 slots to add friends.
Interesting, I read an article that indicated that Xbox Live's continued support of Halo 2 (yes, Halo 2) is the reason the friends list is limited to 100. so a game of the previous generation affects XBL of the current generation? fantastic! I know it's annoying but Microsoft could shut down the servers. They didn't all point to the same source and the link you provided is to one of the sources I listed.
P.S. Yes it would...it would require changing the code of the original game.
P.P.S. Same site I linked to that wasn't credible.

thats right shacknews the same place joystiq cites, in the 5th link.
So yes they all cite the same G4TV blog post by a person i've never even heard of, one or 2 add's on and cites the link i gave at CES 2009 where microsoft admitted that xbox games were the reason our current live inherited 100 friends only friends lists. Buts its freaking microsoft they are software wwwizards im sure they could work it out so that the friends list could be larger then 200 but xbox games being able to only show 100 friends in the first place would continue to only show 100 friends.
Some of this stuff looks cool. Sure it's a bit pricey but you're not meant to buy it ALL just what suits you. Just do what YOU want to express yourself. I for one was getting bored of my avatar selection and was happy for something fresh. As for avatars being worthless, meh, give it some time and there'll probably be more uses in the future.
stop all that speaking the obvious. it's not welcome here. Microsoft has no respect or regard for us. Even if Xbox Live represents the best, most seamless online multiplayer and community experience in the business.you realize that they did not only add an avatar store right? they completely revamped the movie watching, added the ability to give games a rating, and added several new dashboard pages.
