MS needs to commission more types of games though. They have like 1 JRPG(Wrong. Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Blue Dragon for starters) and one platformer(Wrong. Banjo Nuts n Bolts, Braid), and only like 2 action adventure games.

If they want to be number 1, then they have to make the 360 a true gaming console.(Question, how many  PS3 games are featured in the MLG?)

Well JRPGs this gen suck. It's embarassing. When an American console has the best JRPGs, you know something is wrong.

The Xbox 360 has barely outsold the Xbox now, and the Xbox didn't even sell well. Microsoft is now trying to get the casual market but they don't get it.

AHUGECAT

The 360 barely outsold the Xbox. Wow, you're right, Microsoft did fail. I'm glad the PS3 has outsold the PS2 so far..... wait... it hasn't. And the Wii outsold the Gam--- oh wait, it probably did outsell the GameCube actually, nevermind.

Microsoft tried to become the PS2 of this generation, but they don't know what to do. They don't know what made Sony's console so successful.

So do you have any REAL reason why the 360 isn't a "true gaming console" yet or are you going to keep on making stuff up or bringing up irrelevant points, cause I'm getting kind of bored. To respond to your post though, apparently Sony doesn't know either because they haven't made the PS2 of the generation yet either, which is pretty ironic.

You have been owned.

1. Those are average JRPGs and when compared to last generation they wouldn't even be in the top 100 (with the exception of probably LO).

2. Banjo is more of a racer sandbox game and Braid is an XBLA game.

3. I do not like the PS3. I am a lemming.

They all scored above average on GS.

You have to have console type games to become a true console. Action adventures, JRPGs, platformers, etc. etc. otherwise it's a PC with a controller and TV.

And Sony is a joke this gen. They did the total opposite of the PS2 and failed. I think Sony knew they were going to fail though. Kind of funny that MS is trying so hard yet they barely outsell the Xbox.

6ish range is average. Nothing special. When The Last Remnant or Blue Dragon are considered the Cream of the Crop for JRPGs, there's a problem.

I remember when the JRPG line up was like Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Cloud, etc. etc.

6=good. 5=average. How many above-average PS3 jrpgs can you name? And the 360s jrpg line up includes Final Fantasy. I know you wish the PS3 had a hold on the jrpg genre, but it just isn't so:(

I don't like the PS3. None of the consoles has a good JRPG or Platformer line up.

Yeah, M$ gets credit, but I think more praise should go to the creator's of the games, Bioware and Epic.

Speaking of which, EPIC owns GeoW series after they delivered GeoW2, it was in their contract. It will be interesting to see where EPIC takes GeoW series, since it is arguably bigger than their main series, Unreal.

Also, Bioware has been gobbled up by Multiplatform agnostic money makers, EA, so who knows where that series is going. We do know Bioware's next game, Dragon Age, is for PC, 360, and PS3. That's EA for ya.

Still, you are right, both GeoW and ME are great PC games, and worth a look on 360.

I completely agree with you, specially with your last line ;)

TWO games no way, that's so amazing cookie for you microsoftblack_tempest

Only one of those was amazing and it doesn't have a 'G' in the title. I'd be surprised if you gave me 5 exclusive games worth buying.

If you think 6 is good you need to up your standards bud. 6 is the range which games go into when they are nothing special with a fair amount of bugs and problems.

Fantastic gaming with M.E. and Gears no doubt but ya know those two just wouldn't have been nearly as " Just Wow " if I waited a year or more after they launched on 360 and read, seen & heard all about them and then got to play them. :P

Note: The post is mostly for the Cows hiding behind the PC.

If you think 6 is good you need to up your standards bud. 6 is the range which games go into when they are nothing special with a fair amount of bugs and problems.

Here is GameSpots review definitions: 10.0: Prime This exceedingly rare score refers to a game that is as perfect as a game can aspire to be at its time of release. Obviously, the constantly changing standards for technology and gameplay will probably make this game obsolete some day, but at its time of release, a game earning this score could not have been improved upon in any meaningful way. 9.0-9.5: Superb We absolutely recommend any game in this range, especially to fans of that particular genre. However, games that score in the 9 range are also typically well suited to new players. Games that earn 9s are naturally uncommon, and earn GameSpot's Editors' Choice Award for their outstanding quality. 8.0-8.5: Great This range refers to great games that are excellent in almost every way and whose few setbacks probably aren't too important. We highly recommend games in the upper half of this range, since they tend to be good enough to provide an enjoyable experience to fans of the particular genre and to new players alike. 7.0-7.5: Good A game within this range is good overall, and likely worth playing by fans of the particular genre or by those otherwise interested. While its strengths outweigh its weaknesses, a game that falls in this range tends to have noticeable faults. 6.0-6.5: Fair Games that earn 6-range ratings have certain good qualities but significant problems as well. These games may well be worth playing, but you should approach them with caution. 5.0-5.5: Mediocre A 5-range score refers to a game that's "merely average" in the negative sense. These games tend to have enough major weaknesses to considerably outweigh their strengths. There's probably a substantially better, similar game out there for you. 4.0-4.5: Poor Games that just don't work right and maybe didn't spend enough time in production tend to fall in to this category. They simply lack the cohesion and quality that make other games fun. 3.0-3.5: Bad You probably shouldn't get too close to a game in this range. Any of its positive qualities most likely serve only to make the rest of it seem even more disappointing. 2.0-2.5: Terrible Beware, for a game in this range is almost entirely devoid of any remotely decent or fully functional features. 1.0-1.5: Abysmal Ouch. The rare game that falls in this lowest-of-the-low range has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Don't play this game.

They're both great but I'd prefer to thank the developers instead of Microsoft.
