Sorry but you're delusional. MS is doing the absolute minimum and are still relying heavily on their monopoly instead of fruititios innovation to stay atop. Have you ever heard of Google or Apple?lordxymor
Microsoft does NOT have a monopoly on the GAMING market. OS Market...of course, there is no question. They had no monopoly with the 2 Xboxs, so I don't see how you can say they are relying on it. With the NXE, decent/great inhouse games, and a boatload of 3rd party support, there is no way you can say Microsoft is doing minimum.
Apple...innovative? Yeah, that's a laugh and a half. The only innovation they have is advertising, when you compare their products to something of similar value (iPod< Zunes or Zens, Windows>OSX) They are full of fail. The iPhone is okay, if you need to get some real work done, which is why Blackberrys and WinMo devices still rule the business world. And if you wait to really game odds areyou'll pull out that DS or PSP and not an iPod Touch. Funniest iPod? If you are only talking about iPods than sure, best mobile gaming? lol
And Google? Well, for what it's worth, they have been doing a lot of interesting things lately especially with Android. Many of their projects are just attempts at loosening Microsoft's grip on the business/productiviy market. If they are going to do that they need to be way more agressive with courting business partners and need better, locally stored software. Google Docs won't cut it when the internet's down. However, in terms of functionality,I'd still use WinMo over Android becauseit has better functionality since Android is too new. Android will feel alot better once HTC finishes 'Rosie' interfaceon the Hero, though by then WinMo7 will be out and will use capacitive screens too, soAndroid still won't be all that attractive to me.
