Microsoft is killing PS3 in sales, don't be mad because PS3 sucks.Toriko42
Can you imagine how horrific it would be for MS if Xbox360 wasn'tbeating PS3's sales? It really can be expected with almost a 2 year head start...

Yeah, it's called one year extra :|

And that somehow changes the fact that it has a 7 million console lead?
7 million consoles says he is right huh? You are a funny funny man. Try doing the math. Take the total number of each console, then divide that by the number of days that console has been out. Like stated before, the PS3 is winning. The figures don't lie.Bubblehash
PS3 isn't winning unless it has more AAA games and is beating Wii, PC and 360 in sales.
1 year head start says your wrong.

How? I didn't say it launched day and date with the PS3  The fact remains the same, PS3 is in 3rd place, no matter how you spin it. Games or Sales its dead last. :|
Everything Microsoft has this gen has been trying to replicate a playstation. Sony gets you to buy their system by adding something to it that other consoles don't have, Microsoft gets you to buy their system by taking something away from another console. Sony and nintendo are innovators. Microsoft simply does whatever is "in" at the time and makes sure that they're the only ones supplying it. If you honestly think the xbox is anywhere near the prestige of Sony and Nintendo consoles your first console most likely was an xbox. The PS3 outsold the 360 in it's first year, and it has outsold it in 2008 so far. Grabbing onto a small lead, which is the result of a year headstart with no competition, as if it proves some kind of point of superiority is rediculous. Had it been any other market where someone brags about selling more of something when they've had a year head start...even if the year the other product debuted it sold more.. they'd be called fools. But somehow logic fails to translate when you're thinking about consoles.
Every so called "victory" for the 360 has been taking something from playstation.(and by taken, I actually mean making it multiplatform). I honestly don't understand why you claim to want an xbox, but you rejoice everytime microsoft brings you closer to the experience you've had with a playstation so far. It didn't have to be this way. You could have easily just have been patient and waited for the PS3, but you HAD to have your next gen experience early, regardless of the conditions you put yourself in. Your loss, everyone else who had common sense and didn't start gaming yesterday bought a PS3 and are looking to the future and are happy about it. While, the..others are absorbing their "arguable" successes of yesteryear and preparing damage control for the(if there is one) future of their console. =/
[QUOTE="shadyd1717"]It should only be Sony and Nintendo, then everybody wins. You can buy high-end games for PS3, and party-type games for Wii, and everybody wins simple as that. Dont give me none of that competition crap either because no game developer says "gee i'd love to make a great game but the lack of a 3rd console makes me lazy haha", they ALWAYS wanna make good games over making money (except EA).
The quality of games wouldnt go down (see: SNES and Genesis, Playstation and N64) and there wouldnt be any crappy bickering about exclusives or any of that. Microsoft came along to try to make some money and ruined everything imo.

you are so right, but ms just LOVES money and they wanted to be in the gaming marketplace at all costs, that is why the xbox franchise has only caused losses in money so far, if MS stayed out of it we would all be happy and i mean all
I wouldn't be happy. I have never bought a Nintendo or SOny system. Neither of their latest will change that.
If MS wasn't in it, I would not be gaming anymore after almost 35 years.

Wow. You sound so bitter I can't even think of a response. Just because your system of choice is not on top anymore is no reason to whine about it.
In fact, I remember before ps3 launched and a lot of people were talking about the "3rd console curse". Cows SWORE it could not happen to them. LOL. I tried to warn you.
(and by the way, PS3 outsold MS last year, if it did at all, because of Japan. It still got it's butt kicked in the US. Here, you have almost a 3 to 1 chance of your friends having a 360 than a PS3.)
We've always had 3 or more consoles. Last gen we had 4 technically... even though the Dreamcast died prematurely. Before that, there was the PS1/N64/Saturn and before that was the SNES/Genesis/TG16 era.
Microsoft being in the race is good for the industry... and it's even better if all three console makers succeed. That means more games for us... more money to spend, but more games to play.
High end games? If it wasnt for the 360 this gen would be crap right now, I would hate to see another generation with just sony and nintendo.
CrimsonBlade360
high end games for a low end console. microsoft sux and i have a 360 and i dont lay it at all. im only keeping it for gears 2 and if that is a let down then the dumpster is waiting

You are saying that 1 (yes it was 1 year, not 2) is ALMOST the same as 2? Wellthen 1 os ALMOST the same as 0. Thus giving the PS3 no excuse.
Of course this is stupid, but I just wanted to point out your obvious flaw.

Wow, what a rambling.
First of all, lets start with a simple question. What innovations have Sony brought forth with their PS, PS2 and PS3? In all honesty MS has helped develop the very definition of a console experience alot more then Sony has.
Second, MS did actually have competition its first year, PS2 was still selling strong (a competitor not even PS3 could beat when it was launched).
Third, what has "prestige" to do with anything? Its an empty concept, given to you by marketings people. They sell the PS as a lifestyl(e) and you bought into it, congrats.
Forth, so people who got an experience just as good as the one you are still waiting for, were the stupid ones?

M$ is killing itself, RRoD and lack of exclusives.
lmao, because PS3 is just great with all it's mediocre AAE amiright? :P
No, the more the better. Two companies could possible end up with just one company dominating, like what happened with the PS1 and the PS2. Three Well Established companies helps.Tylendal
No it doesn't really help tbh. You have pay more money for more systems. Wich is waste of money. Exclusive games force you to buy multiple systems.
Competition is between the software creators/developers. Not hardware manufacturers.
I cant even imagine how bad Nintendo and Sony's online offering would be right now if MS didnt come into the market.7thSIN
This is true however. Good point.

yep...and how do you explain why the ps3 is selling more this year....in the US, and dont give that shortage crap because even if there really was one...it was done intentionally by MS, and it didnt work at all, and its funny cuz all the people i see with a ps3 are usually college kids
given the choice between sony and nintendo i doubt i'd ever buy a sony console[QUOTE="megaton3k"][QUOTE="Toriko42"]Microsoft is killing PS3 in sales, don't be mad because PS3 sucks.3picuri3
