Kind of a waste though, why go through all the effort to port a game nobody even wants. They could have ported something like Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake, or Conkers Live & Reloaded (without the censorship) and everyone would be much happier. SAGE_OF_FIRE
I'm still not going to forgive MS for cancelling Alan Wake on the PC. :x
Still no Fable II............hmmmmxXDrPainXxFable 2 was garbage, who cares about it. Althought Fable 3 seems pretty crappy too, haven't played it, but maybe I shouldn't anyway.
Fable 3 couldn't be more irrelevant. I mean who would buy that over The Witcher 2? biggest_loserNo kidding. Fable has turned into such a bad series. The only one I would really be interested in is Alan Wake, but I already got that for digital download for my 360 that RROD's when there's a disc in it(still have to repair that.) :P
Cross-platform play wouldn't stop GFWL from being a bloated, clunky, piece of crapGames for windows live would be so awesome if it had crossplay with xbox 360 gamers
not on FPS, but fighters and racers, Dirt 2 and SF4 use GFWL... cmon Microsoft

If you had actually read the thread you would see the majority of posters care little about Fable 3. This is more about MS getting off their asses and finally doing something right in the PC marketplace for once, even if it is but a small step forward.
I know I was referring to PC fanboys, but you don't think Fable 3 would do well on Steam? I bet it would sell millions.I honestly don't know which is worse but SecureROM might have the upper hand for potentially DAMAGING your cd/dvd-drive or even completely rendering it useless. I would advise to stay the hell away from SecuRom AT ALL COSTS. Not only can it damage hardware but it's much like an malware...not implying that GFWL isn't malware to begin with.I'd rather deal with GFWL than the crap that is securom.

Fat chance*laughs softly* gotta love that GFWL is bad...etc..etc when in reality its just like steams store front GFWL was never bad Hermits just didn't like it cause GFWL costs money to use at one time even when it was free because it wasn't steam they wouldn't use it whats funny is they call for all these changes to it making it like another service completely yet refuse to use it and thus give it the *irony* steam it needs to get there.
AhhPC usersnever really the boon of their own industry only ever the bane of it.
GFWL IS BAD. Instead of adhering to the current standard, microsoft continues their abominable wannabe-steam DD-store. They're also splintering their fans/fabase by making some games GFWL only. Now that's what I call hurting PC gamers. But GFWL isn't even relevant anymore since the GFWL-only franchises flatout suck or have gone the 360 path. I LAUGH at GFWL since it tries but fails horribily.*laughs softly* gotta love that GFWL is bad...etc..etc when in reality its just like steams store front GFWL was never bad Hermits just didn't like it cause GFWL costs money to use at one time even when it was free because it wasn't steam they wouldn't use it whats funny is they call for all these changes to it making it like another service completely yet refuse to use it and thus give it the *irony* steam it needs to get there.

I thought this game already came out, but that is good that they are putting games on other services. Too bad I don't want fable 3, after the disappointment of fable 2.APiranhaAteMyVaFable 3 is really good, I never played 2, but 3 was my RPG of the year last year (granted I didn't play many RPGs last year)
i'd be surprised if it even sells 500k I'd be surprised if it even sells 100k Yeah because Steam is a horrible platform that absolutely no one buys games for? Right?[QUOTE="lawlessx"][QUOTE="Karnage108"] I know I was referring to PC fanboys, but you don't think Fable 3 would do well on Steam? I bet it would sell millions.Locutus_Picard
Either you hate anything associated with MS/360 or you're not giving Steam enough credit, take your pick. Either way, stop being a fanboy.

It actually has nothing to do with where the game is being sold and alot to do with the game itself...

Well excuse me for thinking RPGs usually do quite well on PC (... As do action-adventure :P ). Just look at Two Worlds 2. It's one of the top featured RPGs and Steam was advertising it for quite a while on the front page of the store.SAGE_OF_FIRE
Who knows how well it sold though. But between the two, Fable is a much more recognizable name.
does it really matter where you buy it? Once you actually start playing its all the same...
if M$ played there cards right they could make GFWL be able to play games cross platform that are available on both 360/PC, it would be infinitly better then steam IMO

Just looked at the release date for Fable 3.... The same as The Witcher 2.

Microsoft you idiots!
Welp gotta cancel my Witcher 2 preorder now.I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not convinced that The Witcher 2 (or even 1 for that matter) is some kind of RPG juggernaut. Reviews/opinions on the first game were good for the most part, but when I played the Witcher I only thought of it as a game with a lot of potential, nothing more, nothing less. I have no idea how people could finish The Witcher so blown away that they can expect so much out of the sequel. It still has a lot to prove.
Also keep in mind that most of the sales were due to those $5, $7.50, $10, etc, sales. Technically that's a good way of building a fanbase, but the only way to see if that actually worked is if people buy the next game. People on SW telling me how great it will be isn't really enough.
And yes, I've seen videos and I think it looks really good. I just wasn't impressed with the first one.
The first game was flawed but was really fantastic, in the sequel they are fixing all of the problems with the first game while improving on what made the first so great.I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not convinced that The Witcher 2 (or even 1 for that matter) is some kind of RPG juggernaut. I hope you're right man. I felt the same way about Portal 2 and it looks like I was wrong about that one. I was watching my bro play it and even just the first 5 minutes or so looked awesome. I've actually been tempted to preorder TW2. I'm sure I'll end up giving it a try if or when I hear how great it is. If I still don't like it, well maybe the games just aren't for me.I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not convinced that The Witcher 2 (or even 1 for that matter) is some kind of RPG juggernaut.
