After the the ps3 price dropped around the world, sales are now dramatically going up, if it get's to next year, the blue-ray fromat will win the war. Toshiba knows this, and is trying to put the hd-dvd drive into the xbox 360, which is a dumb move becasue it will cost even higher or the same as the ps3. This is a sign of desparration for microsoft since they know that devopers are praising the ps3 now, for thier blue-ray. If sony wins the format war, microsoft is in real trouble.

Ya thanks M$. Like I'm going to buy another crappy 360 just to have it RROD. No thanks.

I'm encouraging all my friends to get a PS3 since they're y'know. Reliable. I kinda expect that from a $300+ machine.

"One piece of news that came out this week was that Sony pleaded with third-party developers not to abandon its struggling platform. That change in attitude is a marked difference compared to the arrogance of past years. The argument is that the PS 3 will show its strength as developers learn how to make games for it. But developers know they can staff four or five Wii teams with the same number of people it takes to make one PS 3 game. We may havea glut of Wii games soon, but that's not as bad as not having enough games on the PS 3."

Who's scared again?

Semms like you know even less, kid. ;)

Mircosoft and the 360 shouldn't be afraid. Ithink that the PS2 is more afraid of the PS3. I mean, the PS3 almost outsold it last month.

Ever heard of strategy? If you look at it, it's feasible that they organized this whole thing up... making him seem like he's not friends.

Really, blogs can't be trusted. Neither can a lot of sources. People need to learn to make their OWN opinions, not just listen to others. Stop using ad populum logic.

No.... Sony has a lot of catching up too do and Microsoft backs the HD-DVD but if it fails no problem because there not commited like Sony is with the Blueray player. MS makes a lot of money by selling HD movies to download over Xbox Live.

Damn the 360 deal seems awsome. Dirt and guitar hero is way better than liar and motorstorm and it cost less.

Don't forget March 07, they were almost positive that MS was scared of the release of Motorstorm.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers this. Every other month this year cows were predicting a new game would destroy the 360. Motorstorm, VF5, Warhawk, Lair and Heavenly Sword were all supposed to justify the PS3, spur system sales, and get great reviews. When the bunch completely failed to do this, the battle cry suddenly became "wait till 2008!" Trust me, guys, MS is doing nothing but laughing at Sony right now. They might be dangerous next year (if FFXIII and MGS4 don't go multiplat), but MS has plenty of time until then to peacefully prepare. Winning the 2007 holiday before it's started will do that for you.

Aw a futureshop ad today...659.99 for a ps3 with lair and motorstorm.....399.99 for a 360 with dirt and guitar hero 2 bundle...sounds like desperation alright.eddy_of_york
MS doesn't set those bundles. Futureshop is just trying to clear house of all the GH2 packs since GH3 is out next week.

That's a blog, which is not true. Get this through your head, sony is a company they know what they are doing, you guys here don't know anything about how they run thier business.

Yes, they knew exactly what they were doing during the PS3 launch. Total fu** up. PS3 is supposed to be dominating the competition right now. It's what was expected.

Don't you remember what Sony said, the next generation didn't start until they said so, people would get two jobs to get the PS3, and that people would still buy the system if there were no games.

Yup, they knew exactly what they were doing. Now PS3 sales are on par with the Nintendo Gamecube.

The PS3 is not even close to being dead, but get this through your head, every company is fallable, whether it be Nintendo's fall in the 90's, to Microsofts RRofD blunder, or Sony's arragonace . . . every company.

Well now that MS has to deal with a competitively priced console that can produce just as good if not better visuals than their console they have to start coming up with something that can match the PS3 feature to feature. If theres one thing I've learned its that even if people aren't going to use a feature on something, they'll still buy it anyway because it has that feature.

MS is happy that they're flagship title made September a spectacular month for them but if Sony or Nintendo had one of their top titles released in Sept. they would have been on top or close. And saying anything except all companies have an equal chance at this point is nothing but fanboyism.

Desperation? LOL sure they are.. They were so desperate that they took back over the number one spot for console sales.. They lead Sony by almost 3 - 1.. Yep they sure are desperate..:D

Um, look at your sig, then do your math again.

5.07 x 3 = 15.21

The 360 has sold 11.83 million. Yes, there is a difference.

1.to call up or produce (memories, feelings, etc.): to evoke a memory. 2.to elicit or draw forth: His comment evoked protests from the shocked listeners. 3.to call up; cause to appear; summon: to evoke a spirit from the dead. 4.to produce or suggest through artistry and imagination a vivid impression of reality: a short passage that manages to evoke the smells, colors, sounds, and shapes of that metropolis.

What are you high? Mybe instead of calling people out and claiming ownage you should do a little reseach before tempting the wrath of the five finger face plant! God! Oh, and grow a sense of humor, thought, I doubt you understood anybit of my post.

You still used the word wrong. A better choice: emote, express emotion, display emotion.

And don't cry about the weak grammer police defense. You opened that can of worms.

That's a blog, which is not true. Get this through your head, sony is a company they know what they are doing, you guys here don't know anything about how they run thier business.

There are a lot of holes there, aren't there? So a blog vs. your opinion, and you expect people to believe you over that? Secondly -'Sony is a company they know what they are doing, you guys here don't know anything about how they run their business.' Another funny statement, shall I show you why?

'Microsoft is a company they know what they are doing, you guys here don't know anything about how they run their business.' See! If your statement is true, then so is that one meaning that you can't possibly comment on whether or not Microsoft is scared because, to quote yourse;f ' you...don't know anything about how they run their business.'
