Microsoft: PSN hack is bad for the games industry

I am sure that MS also know this,that is why they don't give online play to silver members and instead add apps that are basically free every where including the other console as well,to try and justify the price and keep people paying. there is a choice. the choices are the ps3, pc and wii. which all have free online play. most xbl gold members know this.. this guy confessed his "love" for xblg membership. he finds value in it, he doesnt mind paying thus doesnt find it a rip off. im sure the same would happen to xblg that is happenes to psn plus if it was free online as another option. people would still buy it but not as many, sure...but MS gold is and people who pay reap the benefits of the service. whether its a rip off to you is your view or each individuals views on things but certainly does not speak for the community as a whole.

Yeah PSN hack is bad but releasing a console with the highest % of fail rate on the market isn't,for a company like MS who like to play so much with number like 1 billion hours of xbox live stats,they should release a stat of how many hours gamers loss without actually playing their games,because they have to send their unit for repairs,many more than 1 time and many who had to wait for weeks and many more than a month without playing. The losses because those who had their unit been repair could not spent a single point buying on xbox live market place,because they were console less. I fail to see how that negatively affects the gaming industry, when the industry has been growing.... I think tormentos, that you're looking at MS's comment in the wrong manner. They didn't say anything negative to Sony, or laugh in their faces - they expressed concern. Well then they'd just buy a premium surely? It's not that hard to figure out the difference between the two SKU's.... one has a hard drive/headset, etc. and the other doesn't.... Well the first wave of RROD warranty expirations began on Nov. 22, 2008. So end of warranty = more new consoles sold, get it?;)But RROD is good for gaming?
