"And if you think about it, if you're a shooter fan and want to play Halo and Call of Dutythere's only one box to do it on," he told Polygon.

"You want to play Halo and Gears and Call of Duty. We think we'll continue to drive a lot of sales of Call of Duty on our platform, we already have pre-orders happening now forBlack Ops 3, and we're going to support the title just like we would any other big third-party title."

This is all pretty stupid to begin with, but what do you guys think?

That Xbox will still have the biggest sales of (lol) CoD and not have to pay the lion's share of the marketing.

advanced warfare and ghosts sold better on PS4 then xbone by quite a bit

it was like 40% on ps4 30% on xb1 20% xb360 10% on ps3

so it sold better with combining with the 360 but xbone vs ps4 was not even a contest that was back when xb1 had exclusive deal too now that ps4 has the deal im switching so thats one less sale fo the xbone im just one guy tho take notes tho ppl will switch if they want to an like maps first

@drummerdave9099: all COD games have sold better on PS4 then xbone. Now the margin will be even greater. All the MLG players are scrambling due to this and with MLG making the ps4 version the official platform for tournaments.

Why do people still act like the dozen or so fakeboys making COD petitions are real? Besides, Blops 3 looks like Titanfall without any titans. Also, this is timed DLC, no big deal.

Of all the exclusive content deals the only one that bummed me out was the Arkham Knight Scarecrow Mission DLC. Blops 3, hell no, I still wouldn't play it even if it were an Xbox One exclusive. Series has been dead to me since Blops and MW3.

Seems like a huge waste of time to me. All a CoD marketing deal does is waste E3 conference time where a new game could be shown. That and lets face it, it will take a while for the public (at least in the US) to catch on that Xbox isn't the default CoD platform and it will probably sell more on the One for this year and perhaps the next. Worldwide though, CoD has been selling more on PS4 by quite a margin since Ghosts. That's probably why Activision approached Sony for the marketing deal in the first place.

Will MS let Sony have marketing deals of both CoD and GTA? That's two big hitters to not get marketing rights for. Perhaps MS will swoop in and get GTA from Sony? GTA 6 Xbox One bundles?

Depends on how popular the series is. Sony has more consoles out there.
