Probably because no one has the balls to make a definitive answer yet. Sony is dodging the issues also. So I guess it is expected that MS will do the same thing. Both seem to be waiting for the other to take the plunge.

Sadly I doubt that E3 will bring us any closer to a definitive answer from either company. I would expect a lot more side stepping of the issues from both sides.  We probably won't know the truth until the fall.

MS is doing all the right things so far ... good to see them take notice ... $1 billion for exclusive games and listening to complaints and giving answers to all our questions

Keeps the publishers happy, this plus the massive investments MS is making to secure exclusives is a good thing; why only look at the negative.

I mean, how many great exclusives do sony have now?

Well it's quite clear as to why we aren't getting straight answers. MS are probably going to u-turn on what they originally said. They are good enough at business to know when to swallow their pride and back off.

When the whole industry is unimpressed, they won't go ahead with the product anyway, without changes, they're not Nintendo (Wii U). Unless MS are stupid, they know that it will cost them the gen if they continue with those policies. And they're simple things to rectify, they just require MS to swallow their pride.

Why? You can have MS to thank for that! I just don't get why they would think all of that above is a good idea. I can swallow Kinect and no backward compat but the rest? That just plain BS, especially the DRM! That just a slap in the face to all of the loyal Xbox consumers that MS had built up!

Sigh, guess sooner or later, it will happen to everyone. AFter two successful rounds, Nintendo thought carts could beat CD and well, took them 10 years to recover. Last gen, after two successful rounds, Sony got arrogant and thought forcing people to work two jobs for a $600 console would be a good idea and well, they got slapped from 1st to third....Guess this time, after two successful round...again...it is MS's turn.

when two of the biggest lem apologists abandon the xbone ship you know things are bad.

They either remove it or I'll never buy it and a lot of gamers feel the same way. Given how few exclusives MS puts out, and the fact that I have no interest in Halo or Forza, and Rare is effectively dead it's not like I'm going to be missing much anyway.

Keeps the publishers happy, this plus the massive investments MS is making to secure exclusives is a good thing; why only look at the negative.

Howz about I say no to that? Even if MS gets every single third-party games exclusive, I will still be going down the WII U + PC route next gen. Unlike blind fanboyz, I will NOT be ripped off no matter what!
