[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="beldugo"]the japanese buy many american products. your point is moot.[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="KillaHalo2o9"]Its Americanbeldugo
all i can think off is that they dont like foreigner taking over.. they want to be preservative.
but i would like to know what do you think of that though dreams-visions.
I think they will buy what is good and what presents the games they want in a ****and approach that appeals to their **** Less "bling", more streamlined, simple and efficiently-**** user-interface. And hype that brings out emotion, visceral reactions (ie, Sony E3 2005 CG vids). Those can help. As long as the 360 keeps making Devs money, they will slowly put faith into it. But people forget that the Xbox brand is a baby. PlayStation has been making devs comfortable for some 15 years. Nintendo for 20+ years. Xbox...well, it's still establishing itself.

in america we accept everything, we dont dismiss something because its not made in america.
now if you played ffxi i would show you how japanese act. when they go looking for a party they say they want to party with Japanese only people.
i dont know why.. they think the rest of the world dont have skills or something.. they think they are superior or have more knowledge.. i wont never know until i learn japanese...
we all know all does incoming 360 rpg are better or as good as the rpg.. we all know MS is trying hard making stuff for them.. why dont they buy it. its no excuse.
1.) We live by free trade in America. For good and for bad. if their product is better, the we can't fault the consumer for going to the better-made product, right? Hence the success of Honda and Toyota. If their product was inferior or equal to what the Big 3 have been putting out, we'd not see Honda or Toyota making headlines or even being significant.
2.) FFXI - Idunno about that. Perhaps they want to game with people that can speak their language? Perhaps there's a social/cultural piece there that they can really appreciate. Inside jokes they can tell each other that we might not understand or appreciate? maybe because it makes them feel most comfortable? You'd have to ask them, but there are plenty of reasons why people gravitate towards "their own".Â
3.) They don't think they rest of the world is inferior. I don't even know who would have given you that impression. But many of them are hard-workers and hustlers that don't have the same kind of emotional baggage many American's struggle with, which helps.
4.) I'd recommend you learn Japanese. And Chinese (Mandarin) as well. If you want to make an impact in the 21st century, anyway.
5.) We don't know how well the 360 will do JRPGs. We have only 1 good one so far: Blue Dragon. It sold many 360's. We don't know about the others yet. We also know the biggest JRPG franchises are on other consoles. That's a problem for the 360.
6.) If the games don't appeal, they won't buy. That simple.
