@kuu2: And there were instances where we actually saw benefits from the cell. Please explain, besides dedicated servers, what we have seen from the cloud

No, one is denying the Cell had some advantages but those same Cows are now Jr. Hardaware and Cloud engineers pontificating on MSoft Azure.

Drivetars and Auto Titan in Titanfall are not just dedicated servers.

Agree on the first point but not the second. Those are pretty damn basic and shows no "advantages."

Why does Sony Fan always think they know better than actual real engineers that MSoft has?

What's even funnier is Sony Fan talked about the powah of teh Cell all last gen because they were so knowledgeable about hardware. Now there is actually real benefits of the cloud for consoles and they say it doesn't exist.

Sony Fan continue to be the clowns of SW.

Cell was used massively and is the sole reason PS3 kept up with 360 the way it did.

Maybe go and read a few white papers and you'll see just exactly how much heavy lifting Cell did so that RSX could concentrate on other things.

And yet it over complicated development for almost all third party software.

Oh god yes, that is undeniable.... But Xbones ESRAM will add complications.

The internet infrastructure is not up to the standard where real time could computing is available to everyone all the time. The only thing to look forward to realistically is seeing is server side based calculating in multiplayer games with events that everyone sees where the system aka the console does not have to process the physics but only the animations the server is telling it whats happening.

The Cloud LOL

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/microsoft-shows-off-how-it-believes-the-cloud-will-change-gaming-forever/1100-6418766/

The CLOUD still has a long way to go. Microsoft is barely even scratching the service of what it will be capable of in a couple years. Bandwidth speeds will have to increase and they will. This is just the beginning. Just a taste really.

When Cloud starts becoming a factor for PC gaming I may start to believe that in the next 5 years it will do something for consoles.

So far Cloud has been nothing but an excuse for DRM for PC so I don't believe it. PC has been the beta for consoles for the last 10-15 years if it can't work on the PC it's not going to work for consoles period.

Microsoft was talking about the cloud before xbox one's release...and they are still talking lol

Not just talking. CLOUD processing is already being used in Forza 5, Titanfall and Powerstar Golf games. Do some research dude. Stop hating on things you know absolutely nothing about.

Sony has cloud servers as well. That's 100% true, but they are currently going to use them for Gaikai game streaming. Sony hasn't mentioned anything about using their cloud service to improve their games. Also M$ 300K Cloud servers are unique. They aren't the same as Amazon or Sony's cloud servers. Do some research on it.

The results of that increased processing power and graphics added to xbox one that MS promised with the cloud...

You are even dumber than you I thought you were for trying to damage control this with those games. Research indeed fool, you need to take you own advice before posting and you would know what MS hyped the cloud for with xbox one.

The difference between Sony and MS with the clould is that Sony materialized results of what they intended the cloud for. MS on the other hand hyped cloud for increased processing power and graphics with xbox one and only dumb asses like you ate it up.

again#BELIEVE

Whoa, whoa KinectDots! Azure Cloud is very real but just in its infancy. The Forza A.I. and such were just little warm ups to get the thing going. Its main purpose will be realized in the near future. This tech is real. Hell who knows if Sonys Cloug (Gaikai/PSN Now) will ever come to be?

Look to the sky, it is a beautiful day with Microsoft Clouds.

beautiful and profitable can't wait for windows 8,windows phone and xbox apps unification ,plex here i come
