Obviously Peter Moore hasn't seen the 360's sales in Japan, so he shouldn't be the one criticizing Sony. Elviathan
WTF? Why say that. Sony's home country is Japan, and if its losing to another console in its ometown it should take some heat. Somebody needs to light the fire under them, as for the 360 I'm sure its not selling well in Japan, but our cultures do seem to enjoy different gaming styles.

Yes just look at Apple, Mcdonalds, Pepsi, Nike, Abrocrombie, Disney, MTV, Cococola.
I love it when fanboys talk out of their butt.

Maybe they don't enjoy the gaming styles since most of the games aren't released there? Or possibly there aren't any Western Publishers there to publish the game *which is true except EA who JUST opened there doors there* so they get handed to smaller publishers?
Or how about American TV shows like Lost for example is on their TV stations every night with high ratings, or the movie industry which the biggest movies are American? Or how about the food industry with Mcdonalds and other big name chains? How about their music with much American infulence and many popular American bands and artists whos CD's sell millions there?
I love it how fanboys turn to racism because there system isn't selling well.
[QUOTE="Dencore"]The only reason the Japanese don't buy the PS3 is because it's an American product. You see the Japanese are VERY nationalistic so if SONY was from Japan then they'd buy it like crazy.TekkenMaster606
Uhm, sarcasm?
It's true just look at their movie industry, the IPOD, their food industry, pepsi, their tv industry no american companies in those facilities.
Sony is Chinese man land and should be expected to do well there and not anything AmericanHarry_Nukem
LMAO!

Explain to me, then, why the iPod is selling well over there. This argument is so old that not even a million :|'s can express my disgust.

I love it when fanboys say this, American culture is WAY bigger there then Japanese culture is here. Americans are MUCH more nationalistic then the Japanese. Anyway countless American companies have suceeded there, it's all fanboy talk.
actually the 360 is only doing good in the US and the 360 is loosing more horribly in japan than the ps3 is here in the US and if it wasn't 4 that 1 year earlier release 4 the 360, i doubt that the 360 will b whipping the ps3 the way it is now. Don't forget that the 360 was suppose 2 sell 3 mill by april of 06' and didn't hit that # until june/july of 06'The Xbox brand never did well in Japan, so its not surprising. Whats surprising is when a company like Sony (who was at the top of their game) crumbles and becomes as bad or even worse than an American company like Microsoft in their own turf, Japan. Sony PS3 is dead last in this video gaming gen, its unbelievable, but you better believe it.

Hardly racism, different cultures enjoy different things. But you can sit behind your keyboard and feel like a self-rightheous internet junkie all you want, because all in all your arguement was quite weak considering that my system is selling just fine except for in countries that have different gaming styles.
I think MS is happy with Nintendo by beating Sony in Japan....:P
Wii60 anyone?:P
fanboy-buster
While Nintendo smashes MS even worse in Japan
I'm not sure about that: Sony succeding in Japan was expected, whereas M$ doing so would have surprised evertbody.
Sony is indeed getting dominated in Japan, but Peter Moore has no right to say it. The 360 is doing even worse than the PS3 in Japan. Both systems have shown abysmal sales up to this point.
The news of a possible 360 price drop is pleasing. If the price does drop and the Falcon chips turn out reliable, I'll get a 360.
SmashBrosLegend
Why is it that Peter Moore only seems to attack Sony? Sure he may throw a punch at Nintendo to try and ward of supsicion, but it's obvious he's really not too concerned with Nintendo and is more so just going for Sony. yoshi_64
MS probably sees the PS3 as a threat to their long term success.
Wl, Microsoft more Microsofts success with XBOX360 more than justifies his saying. Who thought 2 years ago, that the XBOX would put up that much of a fight? Nearly everyone believed Sony's "dteails" on their console.
Its not only about selling the most units this gen. Its from where you "come". Microsoft was an underdog in console market, now its up with the leader(s). Sony was the top-dog by far and they messed everything up.
im pretty sure MS outsold gamecube last gen, so ninty were the underdogs, and thats why their success is so amazing, they were last and are now about to leave MS and sony in the dust this gen.Wl, Microsoft more Microsofts success with XBOX360 more than justifies his saying. Moores point is that the X360 was never expected to do well in Japan, whilst the PS3 was. Its a fair point. the X360 can only go up, because they are selling very little over there, where as the PS3 has plenty to lose over the gains it made with the PS2.
I don't see it as being arrogant, personally. A little snide, maybe.
Nintendo is sure kicking some serious *** :)
But, MS sees Sony as the most serious competitor. Dont know theyr stance on Nintendo.
(why is the font that big suddenly?)
Wow the SDF are out in full force. Sorry that Moore went straight for the heart on that one but he is 100% correct. Sony had a plan that included dominating Japan. That plan has crumbled. MS had a plan to gain market share in Japan, a second step on the road to having a userbase in Japan. That plan is still in motion. Also MS plan was better Japanese development support, that plan is going really well right now. Sony has no marbles without dominating Japan, they have to have it, MS has the Japanese dev support they wanted and are still trying to gain market share. Face it cows your precious PS3 has failed in Japan and Moore was dead on. No one predicted the PS3 would do so bad in Japan and Sony needs Japan more than anything.swanlee
ridiculous statment, for all the truth there is in this coming from the biggest loser in the region kinda makes it and what you said totally laughable fanboy drivel, sony has the PSP selling 30k a week in japan and has both the PS2 and ps3 selling about 12- 13k each not great certainly, but 50k hardware sold weekly is certainly better than the 360's abmismal 6k a week therefor i suggest you shutup and save face cause anything about bad sony sales can be quickly turned onto how ms never managed to capture the region

MS plans was better? Tell me what you are smoking kid. Didn't you hear? MGS4 exclusive to PS3. Face it. Moore can't even talk about his own company of how crappy they are. You're just in denial about the facts. Numbers don't lie son.
Moore: Yes... the asians are killing each other and the one weaker to us is winning. WOrld domination will be mine when I take over the PC market and there fore take over the hardcore scene of the EAST!
^^All I heard.

^^^^^Am I? Well name 1 JRPG that has sold a million copies in North American that doesn't say Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts on it. *Poke'mon doesn't count*
Also can you name one visual novel *Phoenix Wright* that has sold half a million in North America?
Answer is there.
