I'm sure people miss out on a lot of games that they'd potentially like, because they dismiss it because of bad reviews (in particular, Metacritic). I've played countless games that didn't necessarily rate very well, but I loved it.

I own all consoles and a gaming PC so being a verified manticore, I'm unbiased.

If you are arguing here then I assume or at leastgive benefit of a doubt that they at own all of the current gen consoles. If you don't then why would you talk shit on something you don't own(or even defend against something don't own)? These are the people that needs to rethink their life. I notice this trait with mostly lems more than anyone else.

Questioning their purchase when ultimately they are deep down disappointed with it.

And that is ok but that doesn't negate the fact that the industry standard is scores,and that many do see scores when choosing a game,why you think sony and MS both use reviews scores on promo of their games.?

I have nothing against any one who thinks scores mean nothing at the time of getting a game,i my self don't,but reality is if we are comparing line ups is scores which determine which is better,you can't just claim Halo is better than Resistance because you say so,no that isn't how it works and fanboys are so blind that i have see them on this same thread they would get an abused and beat up series over any other game presented to them regardless of quality yeah that is fanboysm.

im really happy with my PS4 purchase. It seems theres not a lot of reason to buy xbone at the moment.

It's an easier pill to swallow if you don't own multiple machines, that way you aren't forced to compare and realize the differences.

IN fact is that even accurate as Sneakers is not the lowest MS publish game,is Fighter Within with 23% on meta,also Halo CE score on Meta has some 10 less entries than on Gamerankings which is why it stayed at 97,on Gamerankings it has 95%,while Uncharted has 96 on both meta and gamerankings.

Microsoft has worked there magic nicely the snap features looks like complete garbage compared to Picture in Picture on my TV....the UI looks like mumbo jumbo mess of a crap like a metro windows phone. I've seen TV's with better UI's I've seen Sony devices with better UI's.

They have a huge monopoly on PC OS's and are so lazy as crap the xbox one sucks dude its horrible and its just trash.

Microsoft make horrible games like quantum break which look like a sci fi tv show. I'm done with this console, im done with the brand, and I won't ever come back after I seen how the ps4 works i've seen the games on ps4.

@tormentos: Are those scores not based on opinions? just because someone gets paid to review a game, it doesn't mean their opinion is the be all and end all. Please don't tell me you agree with every review you read right and don't know how to form an opinion on a game yourself?

The funny part of all this, is that you take Metacritic seriously whereas I don't, and I judge a game's worth on experience I have playing it and not someone elses opinion.

The average gamer doesn't care or even know that Metacritic even exists, shit I didn't even knew it existed until about a year ago (until I joined this site) and I've been gaming for over 25yrs.

This is not if i agree or not,is about the dishonesty of lemmings this generation after rallying for Halo,Gears,Forza,Bioshock,MassEffect,Oblivion,Ghost Recon and pretty much every freaking game with a 9 or better score that wasn't on PS3.

I could care less if people think reviews are valid or not,and i my self don't take score into mind when i want something,but any objective discussion about Quality using scores can't be deflected with a personal opinion from self,you love Forza right yeah your opinion is biased as simple as that.And i am not saying mine is any better just in case you get that idea.

if you didn't know Meta existed that is your problem,is a site that exist since 1999.

But is not like score started with meta,we all know that before online there was a very alive magazine market,Gamefan,gamepro,EMG,Gameplayers,Next Generation your name it,scores have existed for decades and have being the measuring rule for quality.

So those same scores and reviewers who grace Halo,Gears,and Forza with great scores and that lemmings use to throw at cows face,now say those games aren't so good any more,and all of the sudden reviewers suck is just opinions who cares.

Is pathetic you people should get a backbone,and if you didn't know what meta was and you have gaming 25 years maybe you should have get out of your cave and connected online more,because even this freaking site has metascores right beside its own score for years now.
