[QUOTE="JudgementEden"][QUOTE="PS_Family"][QUOTE="oldskooler79"]TC sounds an awefully lot like Mastercharged or KeyWii.
Either way, blu-ray is rediculous and not needing for gaming anytime soon. You can spend several hundred hours playing Oblivion on DVD-9 and the devs are talking about how Fallout 3 is going to have alot more packed on screen, leaving Oblivion in the dust visually. All on DVD-9.
Both consoles are taking a backseat to the Wii, and perhaps will for the remainder of this gen. Tells you right there how mighty blu-ray is. Also Crysis after extraction can still fit onto a DVD. This game MELTS the PS3! Do you think the PS3 could ever attempt this game with no loss in quality and level design? If you do, I declare you insane and need to submit yourself in the looney bin.
Blu-ray for the most part has been been overhyped by Sony. Yes, it will probably replace dvds later down the road (not any time soon though) but really I'm glad it's not mainstream yet because it appears to the the downfall of everything.. a downward spiral if you will. Only thing worse is the mental patients who constantly worships the format!

Your post is full of false assumptions, opinions and personal attacks.
Thanks for proving absolutely nothing.
I agree, oldskooler79 is an idiot. Obviously he has never heard of compression; Thats what Blu-Ray is supposed to remedy. Thats what its used for: To put data on the disk without being compressed, thus, producing better quality. Not because the drive is "slow" (Which is a false assumption).
And yes, the PS3 could pull off Crysis. Oh I guess im crazy!
A quad-core PC can run Crysis, I think a 7 core could do it better. You proceed to insult others who like Blu-Ray as if its mentally retarded to do so (Which you explicitly state). Blu-Ray is JUST a storage medium, you opposed fanboys of God knows what need to quit blowing it out of proportion. Blu is not going to "corrupt" the gaming market like you people seem to imply.
Read my below statement: Fools shouldn't speak.
That's not the only factor coming to play when you are making a game for a system. All the other hardware limitations the PS3 has it cannot run crysis in it's current form.
True, but I dont think the quality would decrease much, if at all, as long as the developers actually tried to make it as good as they could.
