kinect cannot detect fast movement. from my experience with the devicr it does not even recognize your fingers

guess you right but steel battalion is not a game thats primarily controlled with kinect. its a 360 game not a kiect game, however i heard you coul use kinect to control aspects of it but its not really needed.

Plus i have tried kinect and it was fun for what its meant for but after 20 minutes of playing table tennis i got bored rather quickly. just did not hold my interest for long at all. Oh and God forbid you have more than 2 people in its view at once and it gets really messy. it tracks those people and un tracks the intended target. The voice controls also take a lot of getting used to.

I know MS talked about sales in their Keynote... but can this not turn into yet another sales thread.

I wonder what would the Japanese consumer think of this. It felt through the live blog that this was pretty "underwhelming". That is saying if they still care.

actually they did not. they claimed 1 currently in EU without a time frame. Either way fiscal results will reveal all. but at the end of the day the conference was a c+ from me. Sounds like exactly what he said. I know you were one of those claiming that Sony was still selling more in Europe so I know you do not like this revelation, but it sems that Sony got April & May this fiscal year in Europe AND U.S., but MS took it back in June. Seems to me that MS will finish the year ahead, unless Sony drops their price again before then.

Heaven's forbid a company announce a game months before it's released. They should announce it days. Or at most weeks.

The point was quite obvious in the post you originally quoted.

Microsoft and Sony both announce titles with similar time frames to release. Fable, Halo, Crackdown, Gears. All announced roughly a year or more before release.

The only one that keeps their cards close to their chest are Nintendo.

Again, the only company that keeps a lid on it's projects is Nintendo.

If it hasn't been announced by Sony of MS by the end of TGS it's not likely to be released within the first three calendar quarters of 2011.

MS is just trying something new in the Japan market. I mean they came up with Japanese games, some did well but it didn't last, let's see if this Kinect thing has any sort of impact over there.
