Microsoft wants to be casual yet no promotion of viva pinata or blue dragon.

Microsoft must lying to themselves if they think thier going t win a diffrent audience. they dont even promote rpgs like blue dragon that have dbz looking characters in america. when viva pinata came out no huge promotions for that either in america. i hope microsoft fails maybe thatll show them to give more love to thier other first party games instead of gears of war and halo 3. i havent even seen any commercials for naruto rise of a ninja , that will not stay exclusive as it will barely sell. just look at beatiful katamari no promotions equal lousy sales.

I could care less...those types of games are definitly not my thing. MS isn't going to topple the WII in terms of casuals...so why push there marketing resources towards these games? The games are available, and people who want them have acess to them. They have such a defined userbase that you are not going to get people to buy the game by promotions alone. Gears of War or Halo 3 on the other hand, are marketable enough to make people wnat to buy.

I haven't seen much Viva Pinata promotion for the new game coming out (the party mini game) in the way of TV or internet ads

The only thing I saw was the Burger King tie in with the Viva Pinata toys.
