Microsoft: We'll always take on Sony's first-party titles

I lied the part when he was talking about their titles each holiday season. They actually hype and talk about what they believe are ready and AAA quality games. I couldn't agree with him more about their first party published games compared to Sony's.

Without LBP, I'd think that Sony's first party line-up would look so dry.

And why are people arguing over who develops what? What effect does this have on the end product exactly?

I suppose people can't argue who has the highest rated library of games (we all know the answer to this) so we must resort to arguing over trivial nonsense like this.

correct me if I'm wrong, but Gears is not 1st party. its just an exclusive contract with a 3rd party dev. kinda like Sony and Level 5 with Dark Cloud and White Knight.xxThyLordxx

Well, it's not just you...but it's also not everyone. Can't they make a trailer that shows some actual platforming gameplay, or that doesn't involve "Look, you can add stuff like this...now let's skip to the completed level"?

Frankly, I'm far more excited for Left4Dead than LBP...but I'm not constantly slobbering on forums about it. Kinda proves his point, doesn't it?

The VERY FIRST trailer for LBP was side-scrolling gameplay only :|

Regardless of how you feel you cannot compare a product on the market to a product that isn't out or that doesn't even have a release date.

Since you feel so safe waiting. Tell me when these two games are coming out. Hell I didn't even know ICO 3 was announced.

Your life can busy all you want. But even with any of the free time you have you won't be playing either of those two games until late 2009 earliest. And while you're waiting people will actually be playing games in their free time.

Hell I'm an Engineering Major, I play sports every day, I run about 2 miles every day, and I'm juggling 4 girls. Yet I still find the time to play a couple rounds of 3S, GG, or KOF a day. To hell with waiting until end of 2009 2010 to play games. When I have free time I want to game now not 1 year from now.

MS are quite good when it comes to 1st party publishing.... better so than Sony.

But Sony does have much better 1st party in house devs, as does Nintendo.

Unless they overhaul the engine and actually make it worthy of the sim tagline then i doubt anything will change, no doubt that it'll look fantastic though.

And i'm sure many will disagree with me, mainly the graphics whores or GT fanboys, even at that i think alot more people who've played both would agree with me than you'd think :P

Oh please MS cant compare they have halo 3 which wasnt even the best halo and loads of people was disapointed with it. And what the hell forze doesnt even come close to beating GT i have played both and forze doesnt play as well as a simulater should GT is the best one to go with shoemen22

If you're going to claim you've played both and thus have first hand experiance with playing them both, you should probably get their name right. It's ForzA. Not forze.
