This is way too late too since they should've come out with this model 3 years from the original highly RROD prone 360 models. I already bought a new oneto replace my broken one and I'm guessing most others did too so useless plan.

It really is genious when you think about it, isn't it? Relaunching the Xbox brand with a completly new console and a completly new way to play.

When i say "completly new way to play" I dont mean blatantly copying Nintendo, either. Personally I think Microsoft will dominate 2011 in sales for a few reasons lets look at what made the wii so successful when it launched

1. Holiday release

2. Radically new way to play games

3. Press Coverage (Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America)

we have these three ingrediants this coming holiday season... all in which point to a new (and rightfully so) leader of the console wars:

MICROSOFT

it doesnt take a marketing analyst to see why this will be so successful, all the competition should watch out... this includes Nintendo, as for Sony :lol: uhhh good luck?

I highly doubt your first statement. People have been saying that for two years about the wii and it continues to confound them. Much to the disappointment of Sony fanboys, the PS3 did not manage to outsell the 360 last holiday season in the US despite finally having a good holiday line-up. Instead of catching up, it actually fell further behind here in the November-January period. There is still plenty of room for growth, last gen people bought 195 million consoles from the big three worldwide, this gen is only at about 130-140 million, and supposedly a decent portion of those are new gamers brought in by Nintendo, which means there is more than fifty-five million customers up for grabs. While the 360 is strongest in the US it is certainly performing well worldwide, far better than the original XBox and even in Japan, where it is weakest, it has more than doubled it sales. And while the PS3 is catching on in a big way there, its worth noting that the PS2 beat the XBox more than 46 to 1 in Japan, whereas the PS3 to 360 ratio is less than 5 to 1, and while that is largely related to Sony's disastrous decline being put into perspective, it also highlights the 360's gains. On a related side note,I also find it interesting that in addition to their US libraries, the 360s Japan only library is still larger than the PS3s by quite a bit and includes more games in genres like JRPGs (particularly stratRPGs) and shoot em ups, whereas the Japanese only PS3 games consist primarily of horse racing sims, baseball games, Mahjong games and visual novels. And I'm no fanboy or anything, I acutally like aLOT of 360 games, but just do a search on your local craigslist...There are SOOO many posts in my area (NYC) that are people selling or trading their 360 for a PS3.

And if you remember? MS had a 4 billion dollar loss with the original XBOX? Sony might have more amount of losses but I highly doubt them stopping as a company. Sony has other products other than game related ones.

Might I remind you of this?

Instead of trolling, you can buy the other systems and enjoy more games for yourself. Your loyalty in companies has no use other than limiting the amount of games you could play.

See, regardless of how behind Sony is, it won't stop as a company. They have other sources of revenue (PSP,PS 2 and other non-gaming related products like HDTVs, mobiles etc) And Gamecube was last in terms of sales last gen. Did Nintendo die? NO.

And just because 5 people own a PS3 in your school doesn't mean Sony is dead.

Need I remind you the original Xbox sold 24 million, Gamecube sold 22 million and the PS2 sold over a 140 million. Now, tell me (if going by your logic)... why are both Nintendo and Microsoft still around then? Hence the reason why Sony won't die this gen.

I do not think MS cares about Sony. PS3 is not a PC that is taking share from Windows profits like they feared when PS2 was anounced with AOL, ECT. MS is not losing money like they were with Xbox, and they are now focused on how to squeese as much money out of Xbox fans as possible.

MS makes big profits from live.

Its funny...The Gamecube didnt do the greatest last gen and the N64 wasnt spectacular either in sales. BUT look at them now. SONY owned 2 gens in a row. Its ok if they get some time in the back seat this gen. Maybe next gen they will be the driving force they were. IF not at least I know for a fact they will come back next gen anyways..
