[QUOTE="Zeliard9"] [QUOTE="DaysAirlines"][QUOTE="Funkyhamster"]Eh, considering MGS4's budget I'd be really surprised if it didn't eventually wind up on the 360.Mordred19
It's a year exclusive at least.I'm going with the whole "one year exclusive" thing. I think that's realistic, and it would be particularly funny if it were true, especially since someone in the MGS4 camp recently said something like "if you want to play MGS4 next year, you'll need a PS3." Yes, next year. What about the year after?
MGS4 is enormously expensive and the PS3's install base is so small that they may not even make their money back, much less make a profit. The PS3's dismal sales are the reason why the REALISTIC (no matter what anyone says) rumors of MGS4 going to the 360 keep popping up. Kojima can talk all he wants about MGS4 being PS3-exclusive, but Konami is the publisher and they're strictly in it for the money, as are all publishers. If the PS3 doesn't really pick those sales up, especially after MGS4 is out, then you're gonna see it elsewhere.
The PS3 is only $400. Consider the current PS3 install base, 5 million. If the game's sales do not exceed the install base, what is going to make it sell better on 360? On that note, 5 million copies would be enough to break even. Do you think the install base won't even go above 5 million after the holidays? It's not a myth that $400 dollar consoles sell well over the holidays. Evenrightafter the holdays, it will be three months before MGS4 arrives.
I like to add to that by saying that SingStar will be coming out in Nov,sure it may not matter to us Americans but to people in the Uk that game is huge,it's like their version of Halo 3 and with this $400.00 console and the price drop on the 60 gig over there I can see alot of PS3's flying off the shelves over there.
Anyone who ignores how big Singstar is in the Uk is blind.
