[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]But I thought Steam was the greatest invention in the history of man kind?AnnoyedDragon
Steam is built for PC gaming, were as Microsoft is trying to push the console model onto PC.
On evolves with PC, the other is trying to standardize/streamline it like a console.
I really should have seen this coming since Microsoft is trying to get money from casual gamers and getting money from casual PC gamers who don't own Wii's is a pretty good idea. On the other hand, I doubt it'll be as succesful as consoles, kinect is the kind of thing you'd use with your tv inan open areanot with a PC with a small monitor(with the exception of people having their PC's connected to their TV). Plus this hasn't exactly worked since they've attempted this in May of 2010 and we haven't heard any big news about it. PC is a different market, you won't have people sitting in their chairs pretending their holding a wheel and playing NFS: Shift on their PC's with Kinect. But on the other hand if you think about it,RTS' with Kinect would be pretty cool. You'd whip your hand back and forth to switch from army to army, pretend as if you're touching a screen to select a unit, you could move your hands apart from each other to open the map and then choose where you want the unit to go, stuff like that. That would also prove RTS' would work on the Xbox, heck imagine a guy standing up doing this stuff, he'd look like a music conductor. Remember that PC is a lot "bigger" than consoles too, you already have streamlined games such as Farmville and other Facebook games, some Mofunzone/Addicting games/Armor games etc. I do agree that their vision is flawed, though, their so called "vision" is racking up the money from Farmville players. Next objective? CoD using Kinect, I already know people buying Kinects to get ready for that
