Mid Year Check: What Are Your Most Anticipated Games for the Remainder of 2016?

So, we're five months into 2016, and it's been a great year for gaming so far. We've received so many high profile games - The Division, Far Cry Primal, The Witness, Fire Emblem Fates, Stellaris, XCOM 2, Quantum Break, Ratchet and Clank, Pokken Tournament, Bravely Second, Battleborn, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Dark Souls 3, and of course, Uncharted 4 - that so far, no matter what you own, you've probably found something or the other worth playing.

The best part is, this year has only just begun, and in spite of some high profile delays into next year, each major platform still has some heavy hitters lined up. My question to you all- what are, as of right now, your most anticipated games for the remainder of 2016?

Nier: Automata.

I should probably get around to actually trying the first Nier, but that requires me actually having to play that game. Which sounds gross.

Dishonored 2 all the way. I can't think of anything else at the moment. Horizon looks great but Guerrilla Games always looks great but the gameplay is mediocre.

Been a great year of gaming so far, I don't have Horizon in my top games remaining for this year cause I still don't think that's coming out this year. I think Sony see's new IP's don't really do will in the holidays and that would most likely be a holiday game so I see that early next year but either way, I'm very interested in that game. My tops for the rest of the year though is:

• Mafia

With so many games that I bought this month, just adding to my considerable backlog, I'm honestly not thinking about the future at all. Cuphead might be the only game Im really wanting to play asap., and looking forward to hearing any news about Forza Horizon 3. I've just got way, way too much now on my plate

I'll be playing Doom soon, excited for the upcoming H5 update Memories of Reach, and then Overwatch. Many others I'm juggling at the same time. I'll probably have a better idea after E3 once I chip away more at my backlog.

Right now, it's just Gears. This year was really front-loaded, but I expect some good stuff to get announced at E3.

Persona 5 would have probably been on this list too, but Sega and Atuls have said people living in Europe aren't allowed the game, so screw them.

4) Star Citizen (If it comes in 2016, but I enjoy the updates even if it doesn't)

5) Overwatch ( I guess it is technically 1st half, but not released yet)

7) Torment: Tides of Numera

8) No Man's Sky

9) Cuphead

10) Shadow Warrior 2

This can change as more info is released on games though. Ask this again after E3.

1. Overwatch: Played the open beta and can't wait to get my hands on it with no time limits. Haven't had this much in a multiplayer FPS since.. Team Fortress 2.

2. Odin Sphere: Vanillaware always delivers, and japanese impressions has been favorable.

3. Dishonored 2: Immersive sims are a great genre, can't argue with another one.

4. Zero Escape 3: I want to see how they manage to top the ridiculousness of the second game.

5. Ys 8. Don't see it coming to the West in 2016, but still one I really want to dive into.

Dragon Quest VII and VIII on 3DS as well as Zero Escape: Time Dilemma. Apart from that, there's nothing that I consider must buy. Maybe Bravely Second (I know it's out, just haven't picked it up yet) and SMTIV Apocalypse, but honestly this year hasn't been doing much to excite me. I think the only game from this year I've purchased is Fire Emblem Birthright, and it was great.

With Zelda being delayed yet again, i'm not really looking forward to anything that special, so for me is:

1.- The King of Fighters XIV - i'm such a sucker for fighters, going to try really hard to finally be able to get a PS4 by the end of the year and play the heck out of this with SFV as well and maybe some GGXrd.

2.- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, never played the original games, but i loved Human Revolution, such a fresh game and the sequel seems to be as good if not better.
