bungie just stated in their weekly update that halo 3 recon was going to be their final game in the halo universe. i think that, for an AAA franchise 3 games and an expansion is haaardly mlikage compared to practically everything else poppula like call of duty, guitar hero/rock band, NFS, etc etc. especially considering how enormously popular halo is

I agree. There have been no spin offs except this and Halo Wars. For a nearly 8 year old franchise, 5 games is not milkage.bobbetybob

I don't think it's super milkage, but they are definitely expanding the Halo universe to capitalize on its success.

They will keep making Halo games as long as they sell well and the last Halo game's first day sales were the best ever. So in general people still want Halo so it would be stupid not to make more. There are far to many idiots on here so just do not pay attention to those idiots when they say Halo is milkage. Besides they are prolly the same ones talking about how great FF13 is or GT5.

I don't bash 360, and I didn't bash it now. GTP is the best you got? Sorry, there's better examples of milkage in the gaming world, like Madden, Mario Party, etc. I can see GTP being viewed as milkage, but the series has been around for years. Halo started LAST GEN. As a 360 owner, I don't ever bash it. You won't find me bashing any of the consoles, just questioning posters, or agreeing with them.

EDIT : Poly is not that great of a dev team? Fanboy comments much? You may not like Poly, but they are recognized by the industry.

It is ok for you to bash the 360 a lot. Heck I have never shyed from bashing the PS3 when I thought it was needed. As far as the topic though even you agreed that GT milks. So then what is the problem? Sure if I just sat here thinking of games I could think of a ton that do it more but you even agree that GT does it.Eltroz

I don't see the point of bashing a system that I own. I do see the point of questioning features of a system, or the arguements of a poster. I do see GTP's as milkage, but when arguing against Halo's new games, there's got to be better examples, as GT is older than Halo, and if you look how many games each series has coming, Halo is catching up, yet a whole generation newer. The GTP's are the only part of the series that I see as milkage(Which is very slight when you compare to other series), and other than that, it's just a main series.

I think if the demand supports it, it's going to happen, for any series. I would rather have Halo 4 next Xmas than Halo 3R though.

No one ever mentioned Forza or Turn 10 (they are amazing devs BTW). Why did you bring this up?

If you look a Metacritic Poly has 3 AAA games. This makes them superb devs.

If you look on GS they have a couple of AA titles and one AAA title. This makes them GREAT devs.

In the end if you look at the score their AA games got here on GameSot compared to the vast majority of the gaming community, you'd see that some of their games have been vastly underrated.

First you said "not that great", then you said "good". You are wrong again :(. They are great :). They are superb if you want to take the gaming community's view (but this is GS).

I just think it is funny the ones that say one is milkage but other games are not. Many games have been milked to a point I guess because they sell well because people want em.

Fine they are great then either way does not bother me. I honestly do not care about them much either way since not a huge racing fan for any platform. I just brought up GT at the start to say that Halo that only has 3 games out can not be called milkage when other popular games like GT and FF are not. From the start I was not intending a bash on GT but then I just responded to a different poster.

I see. I love the Halo franchise (mainly due to Combat Evolved). I just hope that after Bungie is done MS won't milk the hell out of the Halo universe or even Master Chief (like Mario... not the main installments, but hte spin offs).
