I still haven't beat the first one:cry:

Yeah, saw the article here on GS, great news! :)
The first one, while most certainly flawed, was still a very enjoyable game with a great and unique concept. I hope the sequel fixes the issues of the predcessor, by having less flow-breaking combat, and a more varried and longer SP campaign. Another very important thing, they must keep that bright and colorful art style, I don't want to see any ugly desaturating filters here!
Awesome ! Hope it's for next gen though so that they can have larger levels with no loading.
I still haven't beat the first one:cry:princeofshapeir
Shame on you TC :x! It' like a 4h game max, so there is no excuse!
I just beat Mirror's Edge, and it sucked a lot.
Now hear me out! :P
The gameplay of jumping around doing first person platforming/puzzle-solving was awesome!!!!......, but any portion of the game in which you had to fight bad guys was incredibly lame, greatly disrupted the pace of the game, and could be pretty annoying with its level of randomness at times. It's just too bad that was half the entire game it seemed.....
Just give me 100% platforming/puzzle-solving, and make the puzzles harder, and I'll be happy :)
Sweet! Thanks for sharing. My fav last gen game along with Mass Effect.
I bought it on DVD, then on steam and finally on demand.
I can't imagine that they would mess with the artstyle. Btw Jim Sterling wrote a really good article about what he wanted for Mirror's Edge. The last paragraph especially is pretty hilarious !Yeah, saw the article here on GS, great news! :)

npProtip: If you see an enemy, run! There are about 3-4 mandatory fights that you can't avoid, but for the rest just run like the wind. To get good times you have to do that, but it's also a much more fun and rewarding way to play the game. Most players do like you and feel that they have to kill all enemies, because that's how you play every other FPS. This game is about running though, so RUN ;)!I just beat Mirror's Edge, and it sucked a lot.

*screams like a little girl*
Oh man I can't wait for this, through I kind of iffy with EA nowadays. I just hope they don't focus on the gunplay, and adding multiplayer around it.
Wanderer5
Agreed.
The game being under EA's name is indeed quite worrying.

Happy to hear this. Being chased by cops in Mirror's Edge was some of the funniest of this generation and the game looks absolutely beautiful.
HELL FVCKING YES!!!!!
bleh. I prefer playing as Badass Male characters. eitherway mirrors edge was terrible game. just run run run then run then jumpSNIPER4321
You have seriously got to be one of the most insecure posters I have seen on these boards :|
And your over simplification of the game not withstanding, Mirror's Edge made a mark in the gaming scene for its unique gameplay of first person parkour/platforming. Oh and aside from running and jumping, there was also unarmed melee and even martial arts disarming the guards of their weapons, which in 1st person was damn cool to pull off :)

Yeah, but there are some enemies that you have to defeat to move on, you know, the one marked with those red "auras" around them. Those encounters were really breaking the flow, and just felt contrived to the overall theme of the game... :(

This is EA we're talking about here, they can always decide that the game needs to look more "mature"... :P
Though I must say, why are desaturation filters considered "mature" looking is way beyond me... :?

Multiplayer fps mode confirmed.I hope they replace the gunfight ending with more of a running shootout similar to when they sent the freeruning SMG guys after you. Try to run circles around them, disarm one and unload on the rest. SO good

He's a troll.
That was blatantly obvious. I just can never resist the urge to counter attack with logic :P
Ha sums up my reaction perfectly Physx was awesome in mirrors edge as well, the first time I kicked a guy off a building and he ripped through a tarp I was like 0_0.

[QUOTE="Goyoshi12"]New Engine, lots of guns, pointless online play, DLC and no free running. Im calling it. I see no reason why they wouldn't use Frostbite 2 for this one.Calling it: EA will somehow find a way to @#$% everything up about the game.

I couldn't get into the first one, but I saw a lot of potential.
here's to hoping it's realized in this one
