1. What would you do/say if you met Shigeru Miyamato?
2. What would you do/say if you met Ken Kutaragi?
3. What would you do/say if you met Peter Moore?

And in true SW spirit:

Which of them has been the most influential person in the gaming industry?

Which of them are behind the best products?

(Miyamoto - Nintendo consoles/hanhelds/games, Kutaragi - Sony consoles/handhelds, Moore - Microsoft consoles)

VS.

VS.

Since I don't speek Japenese I would just bow to Miamoto and Kutaragi. For Moore I would shake his hand and tell him I love his product.

Kutaragi pretty much was the mastermind behind PS1/PS2's success. PS3's just getting started so it's way too early to determine whether or not it's going to be a legendary console like the other 2.

Imo, Moore is doing the right thing with the 360, and Miyamoto in my eyes is pretty damn cool. He's made a lot of things that I've appreciated.

Moore represented Reebok before MS and Sega, so i wouldn't count him as influential to the gaming industry. He's just a good buisness man. Kuturagi's best years are behind him and Miyamoto is a god

I would shake Miyamoto's hand and ask for an autograph. I would shake Kutaragi's hand. I would glare at Moore for letting the Dreamcast die. I don't think it's much of an argument as to who among them did more for the industry. Miyamoto basically saved the entire industry singe-handedly. The industry had recently crashed, and the NES (with some minor help from the Master System) brought it back. Miyamoto is the creator of many of the games that fueled the return of the gaming industry, such as Mario and Zelda. I also think that Miyamoto is behind the best products. You can always expect6 quality from Miyamoto. He has created some of the most beloved series of all time. Miyamoto's series: The Legend of Zelda Mario Earthbound F-Zero Donkey Kong Star Fox and countless more. He is the very reason that gaming is where it is today. He is behind some of the only truly universally great games, such as Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario World.

I was going to make a poll but I made one yesterday and you can only make one in a 24 hour period now.

I'll probably include the poll as soon as the 24 thing is up.

I was going to put Gates but he really isn't the head of MS's gaming division. Plus, if I put Gates it would turn into a discussion about Windows etc VS gaming, and I wanted to keep it about the games instead.

I agree though, Moore still has a long way to go to be considered as great as Kutaragi or Miyamoto.

Simply put, without Miyamoto's vision in the gaming industry, we would not have a PS3 or Xbox 360. Gaming would be changed forever. The next time you make fun of Shigeru Miyamoto, remember that you are making fun of the god of modern video games.

Yes they do, but what is more important? The xbox hardware was better than the PS2's, but the PS2 had better games so it sold more. Games make the hardware.

If I met Miyamoto I would just praise him for inventing Mario! If I met Kutargi I would say congrats on having such a succesful two generations of gaming generations with the PS brand If I met Moore will err I would say that you have been doing a great job :D. Overall Miyamote influenced the gaming industry the most ny bringing such famous franchises and bringing innovative games like Super Mario 64. Kutargi kind of perfected the gaming market with the ps2 with such high sales. And well Moore we have to wait and see...

I can't respect you for any of those. Mitamoto might be strange looking, but the others ARE right, he did reshape the gaming industry and recovered it.

Moore is doing good work, and him looking like the tinman...? Uh, okay, i don't see it.

Ken, he really needs to rethink the path of the PS3

There is no doubt in my mind that Ken has contributed greatly to the industry. I would never dream of denying it, it's just that I believe Miyamoto has contributed a great deal more. I love the PS1 and the PS2, I'll be getting a PSP, and the PS3 is shaping up to be a respectable platform.

And well Moore we have to wait and see...Synchro456

No, Moore has already shown what he can do.

He was the head man at sega when dreamcast was literally crushed by PS2.

I just know he can do it again.

Miyamoto: You look like a frog.

Ken: Keep up the good work.

Moore: You look like the tin man from the wizard of Oz.

 I was just joking around.

You gotta see the tinman without his makeup to understand.Â
