Seriously it's not an exclusive time to move on and get over it. Hype Infamous are the next big exclusive gamel. Or better yet, actually buy MLB The Show since you guys cared so much about it. :P

Episode_Eve

I'm actually thinking about buying it :P. Really. I played the demo earlier today and LOVED it. I'm not a big sports game fan, but the pacing of this one has me intrigued. Especially after playing so much KZ2.

I have a friend that doesn't follow baseball at all yet bought The Show and loves it. He's super addicted to Road to the Show...you should either buy it now or wait til you can get a deal for it, either way I think its a must buy.

I have to decide between these: MLB 09, RE5, or Valkyria Chronicles! That's a tough one :(.

Cows still win because you have to have a "Sony System" to play MLB the show 09.

Not really, this is System wars, not company wars. Even if they're made by one company, it's each system for itself in SW.

So out of this debate and discussion: MLB wasn't granted exclusivity on PS3, and Dead Rising was demoted as an exclusive for the 360.Episode_Eve

And who exactly is the one who decides that Dead Rising became a multiplat? System Wars is anarchy... I still think Dead Rising as an exclusive game and presented more than enough evidence to support as such... and thoroughly debunked all the MLB 09 arguments.

Not sure why some people still claimed its exclusivity though.carlisledavid79

Because its a different game? The only thing that Wii version shares with the original is character models/design, and mall layout.

I personally don't care about its exclusivity, I care about the multiplat implying that it is the "same" game when it isn't anywhere close. Had it been called something else and hadn't used the DR IP, no one would have recognized it as inspired by DR.

Both of you are right in a way. It's "system" wars, but fanboys usually categorize companies as targets of dislike.

The whole Dead Rising thing was more of a bargain chip so that cows wouldn't revolt. I still think that a specific thread should be made about it. LOL the only evidence I saw was a Wikipedia page of CTYD stating that it is the same game, and a list of changes.

I don't see how a game that takes out a major gameplay aspect (photography), changes the perspective (TP to OTS-TP) and turns from a melee beat 'em up to a gunning shoot 'em up is "the same game."

Time to make a DR thread, fox. Hell, once I get Dead Rising:CTYD in the mail from Gamefly, and play it through and though, I'd gladly add to your previous points.

I think it can boil down to Dead Rising. As long as DR is an exclusive MLB 09 should be right? I just watched some Dead Rising Wii video reviews and nothing changes the core gameplay, yet it's still exclusive to Wii and 360 separately.

Edit: I just checked the spreadsheet and DR is no longer exclusive.

TREAL_Since

So no more camera element to the gameplay, a different title, different save system, and many other tweaks don't constitute it being a different game? While the Dead Rising franchise is no longer an exclusive one, the original title still remains exclusive.

EDIT: I disagree with the conclusion made. I believe Dead Rising is still an exclusive title while MLB 09 is multiplatform. The differences between the two are too vast to consider them linked in the "if game X is multiplat, then so is game Y".

In the end, the decision doesn't bother me. To me, people on both sides fought long and hard for something that will not effect the world outside this board.

I'm tempted to rent it as well. It will not only give me a good excuse to dust of my Wii but be able to laugh at how bad the game actually is.

Good. That is the most important thing in this kind of debates, feedback from people who actually played the games in dispute.

Like someone suggested I looked on Metacritic and I found that IGN reviewed the 3 versions.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/959/959003p1.html

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/959/959937p1.html

http://psp.ign.com/articles/960/960510p1.html

It's the same review!!!!!!!!!!

They just added some comentary on some parts to state the technical inferiority of the PS2 version, it's full arsenal of bugs and glitches, and it's obvious inferior PS2 ****online.

It's the same game.

Edit: LOL the debate is already over, its not exclusive.

But look at Ninja Gaiden: Sigma on PS3.

- It has a new name
- New game modes
- Gaphical overhaul
- Changes were made to the game world, with new areas and several additional save points and shops.
- Alterations to the game engine let players shoot arrows in mid-air.
- Fight on water surfaces
- New playable character Rachel
- Team Ninja added more enemies such as bikers, fish-men, and a new boss, Gamov
- Ryu's weapon choices are extended with a pair of katanas called the Dragon's Claw and Tiger's Fang
- New moves
- Improved AI and difficulty
- By shaking the Sixaxis controller, players are able to increase the power of their ninpos.
- Now able to access potions without having to visit the game's menu system via the use of your controller's directional pad.
- Few new story sequences

And it isn't exclusive??? *GASPS* Ninja Gaiden Sigma is in the same boat.

Killzone 2 will return soon >_> Then we could always have rebels who don't agree
