I noticed there are no African Americans in Fable
i dunno about that, when i played fable 2, i was white, my wife was white, and somehow my child was black :lol:So i had her killed by balverines for cheating on me 8)
HAHA. On topic: After the terrible Fable 2 I will be highly sceptical. I fail to see how it got AA when the action part was just horrendous and needed a total redesign.I remember preordering the collector's edition of Fable 1 thinking it would be the best RPG ever and redefine the genre.
Instead I got a subpar action game...I never bothered getting Fable 2 because of how disappointed I was in the original. Nothing will save this series from massive disappointment that was Fable 1.

Certainly some interesting concepts. Sounds like something different at least. Hard to say if they will work out or not.
This is exactly how I feel. Molyneux hypes his games big because he's constantly pushing the boundaries of new genres. He has no template to follow and so all he can do is talk about his ideas of the game. When you hype Uncharted 2, there is a direct reference to the source material that you can compare to. It's easy to know the type of game you're going to get and what is expected of it. I applaud Peter for constantly trying to push the envelope and it's why I support Lionheart even if their games do not match the hype, because at least they're TRYING to do new things. Instead of shipping 15 Mario's, or billionth Guitar Hero. It's the same reason I like Tim Schafer. He attempts to push boundaries even if it isn't always successful.I like the first 2 Fable games and I think people give Peter M waay too much crap for hyping his games. He is no less egotistical than many of the Japanese developers that have been basically making the same games for 15 years or so. At least he attempts to push boundaries instead of nestling safely within them.
Populous, Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, Black and White and Fable are all vastly different games and all are of decent if not great quality. Fable 3 looks pretty interesting so far. At the very least they are different from pretty much everything else out there and the humor is spot on.

Well he's trying different things, and his past few games have been considered great by most; I don't see any reason to complain. It should be a good game.
Fable 2 is the only RPG i've ever enjoyed, so i look forward to seeing more on this game.racing1750Rpg?
"Don't drop the ball this time!"
It's ok Peter we all know that anything you say right now will not ever touch the finished game or be in the form you have described it. Perhaps if you want people to listen to you, you should actually deliver on any of your multiple promises. I am still waiting for that real time growing grass from Fable 1 Mr. Molyneux!
The Fable franchise has always been a good franchise, I always wanted more but it keeps on falling a little short to greatness. I enjoyed the Fable franchise enough that I'm interested in the next Fable, but my anticipation is not as high as it was before.
[QUOTE="texasgoldrush"]People keep forgetting that RPG stands for Role Playing Game. Fable III will fit that perfectly.Cherokee_JackSemantics. Role-Playing Game is an outdated term. It was coined before video games were invented and doesn't accurately describe the "RPG" genre as we know it in video games. It might as well be any random string of words because it's essentially used as a placeholder. I'm not saying Fable III isn't an RPG, but not every game with role-playing is an RPG in the video game sense.Frankly I never even thought Fable 2 got the Role-Playing part of RPG right anyway.
If you really think farting in someone's face until they like you enough to give you a present is role-playing, then by all means call it an RPG.
Looks dumb. Try making an RPG next time, Molyneux. You tell us what should be a plot twist-- that the PC will overthrow a tyrant. WTF? Then you say we'll run a kingdom. Uh... is this a RTS, or RPG (as you claim)?
Every game this guy has ever produced disappointed me, from Black and White to this. It's because Molyneux is a lot better at hyping than delivering.

Really? I thought it was horribly done. Let's hope Peter doesn't hype this one through the roof like he does all his games.
E3 is his last chance to hype it, so I think there's an improvment. You tell us what should be a plot twist-- that the PC will overthrow a tyrant.KristoffBrujahOMG TEH SPOILERS That will probably happen about an hour into the game.

eh I hope you can die in this game.too_much_eslim
Yeah, that was a huge issue I had with the sequel. The additions for F3 are souding nice though, look forward to seeing it.
Man do I wish I could go back through time and destroy Peter's Fable and Black & White projects.. Then force him into slave labor creating Dungeon Keeper 3, and a Populous sequel.. sSubZerOoEA owns the right do DK and populous
anyway, the morphing and rulling a kingdom definatly looks interesting and unique

Sorry, but regardless...you're flipping out about a plot detail that he's revealing 8 months before the game releases.
If you give it a few seconds of thought, it's fairly obvious that it doesn't matter whether people know it before they play the game. The whole theme is how your character's decisions as the king of Albion affect the game world. To make that a plot twist would mean keeping one of two things about the game secret: that there's a tyrant ruling Albion in the beginning (which you would presumably find out very early on in the game) or that you're the king of Albion for the entire second half of the game (which is central to most of the game's new mechanics and seems to be the main thing that differentiates it from Fable II). If both of those were known, anyone could predict what was going to happen.
I haven't been impress with the previous two installment, but hopefully it change with this one especially with the ability to rule your own kingdom.
Ok, so far we still don't know if there is a final boss battle. It's probably the wife who's the villain so the ending will just be make a choice; money, family, or pub.
Just like the F2, I'm not sure these features will be as dynamic as he believes.
Fable 2 was great, up until the end, officially the worse last boss in history, well the easiest. This time please make an epic ending.
[QUOTE="akira2465"]They said thousands of weapons and it should be different for everyone character. well, since this is Peter Molyneux we're talking about, it will be like this: not unique: a sword, axe, hammer, bow and crossbow unique: a slightly blue sword, a slightly More blue sword, a little more blueish sword, a blue sword, a very blue sword, an incredibly blue sword, a 'hurt your eyes' blue sword, a slightly red sword, a slightly More red sword, a little more reddish sword, a red sword, a very red sword, an incredibly red sword, a 'hurt your eyes' red sword, a slightly red axe, and so on.The weapon morphing sounds interesting, I just hope it's unique weapons instead of the same thing in blue or red
