More people interested in the PS Vita than the Wii u??

I'll be getting both so it I;m looking forward to both equally :)

People aren't excited for thw WiiU because from what we've seen up to now (the use of the hardware) hasn't been that impressive.

Im not really interested in either at this point, Im unsure about the Wii U as not a lot of info existson it and Ithink thelast two consoles from Nintendo have been disapointing.I think handheld gaming devices from the likes of Sony & Nintendo are on the way down and the mass market for these is nowthe Iphone, Ipadand Android devices as they offer gaming from 69p and the convenience of a phone in manycases on a single device.

I'm not buying the Wii-U after how the Wii went quite frankly. 3DS line-up isn't impressing me at all either now or in the upcoming future which is a shame since the DS was the best handheld of all time. Nintendo continues to go downhill for me.FlamesOfGrey

Well that is good for you. However, I don't live by your gaming experiences but my own and right now they're terrible when it comes to Nintendo newest systems for both their handheld and console respectively.

^ the WiiU isn't going to come out for a while. The design probably hasn't even been finalized yet, so there isn't much info on it yet. Once Nintendo starts announcing games, starts showing videos of what the system will actually be like (not tech demos), and gets thier hype machine into full effect, then there will be a much more meaningful conversation about the system. Right now it just "Hey did you see Zelda HD???" "WTF!?!?!? UC2 LOOKS BETTER" "Hey this system is going to be 20x better than the HD twins! It'll be the only system you need next gen!" "Well M$ and Sony are making new systems (that we know literally nothing about) and they will CURB STOMP the WiiU" etc etc.

Vita, on the other hand, is coming out in a few months (in Japan at least). Sony's hype machine is working overtime, putting out a laundry list of games, releasing new videos, interviews, etc. So people actually have stuff to talk about and get excited over (or downplay--this is System Wars after all).

Give it a few months. WiiU news will be all over the internet and (hopefully) the arguments will change slightly. This is starting to get boring.

Vita has more info and a majority of the community hates Nintendo.

One is releasing a lot sooner than the other, and has more info about it available.

Ultimately, when it comes to new hardware, people are hyped when they see a system has great games and a great presentation. Right now, the Vita has showcased some of that, and appears to be selling at an affordable price. That is the key to its relatively positive reception.

The 3DS is under scrutiny because, 7 months after release, its library of games is still paper-thin (but most people also acknowledge it should get much better soon). The graphics are also a bit lacking compared to the Vita, making it an easy target for potshots from graphics elitists.

The Wii U has very little news available with regard to pricing or games. However, when DQX was re-announced there was a surge in interest. It really comes down to lack of anything to get excited about.

Hmm, let's examine that fact; other than the controller we know every little about the Wii-U whilst with the Vita we know a lot about it.

That's why no one is talking about Wii-U right now, there's nothing to talk about.

A) it's a console and a hendheld you are comparing.

B) we know a lot more about the Vita and its games because it's launch is much much sooner. The Wii U is still a mystery.

In short....a silly comparison.

this definitely does seem suspicious. The screen is OLED which is supposed to be more energy efficient, but you never know...
