More PSP Titles to be Announced

"Oh, it's big – no doubt – but John Koller, director of hardware marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment of America, told Kotaku that Sony's smallest, most wayward son will be receiving "a number" of equally important, as-of-yet-unannounced games as 2009's full head of calendar pages grays and dwindles.

"At Destination PlayStation we announced about half of the line up for the PSP this year, some fairly major, triple-A titles are coming for the back half of the year that are going to be announced in the coming months and at E3," Koller said. "LittleBigPlanet is going to be one of the top three but a number of others that are coming are just as big."

He also revealed that LittleBigPlanet will likely be able to connect to its PS3 counterpart in some way – possibly to share levels – but specifics are still being ironed out at the moment."

I gotta say, I'm getting real impressed with the campaign Sony is doing for the PSP. 2008 was a horrible year for first party titles, so I'm happy to see Sony is finally taking some initiative with their handheld. What the other two "Big titles" will be I have no idea. Gran Turismo Portable is always an option only leaving one more (my money is on another Killzone or Metal Gears Solid game.)

Could one of the games be Sly Cooper!? Please Sony! Afterall, High Impact Games is working on a new PSP game, so it could be!

I'm going to guess GT Portable, Killzone Liberation 2 and a Resident Evil game. I'm impressed as well, looks like Sony have kept their promise about revitalising the PSP.Floppy_Jim

Well they did say that "2009 will be the year of the PSP",so yeah, i'm expecting more and (hopefully) better titles for PSP this year.bdum_pshhh

Me too, but i dont think any game they could announce could top LBP right now, cant wait till they release it. Why are we still waiting for FF Dissidia though?

What could it possibly be about though? The first PSP game covered just why he hated the gods so much so I don't see what's left to cover.

Since High Impact Games is seemingly working on a new PSP game, do you think that they would move onto another franchise? How likely do you think that it's a new Sly Cooper game? There's already two games in the Ratchet & Clank series for the PSP, and one from the Jak series. So, why not Sly Cooper? All three games on the PS2 became Greatest Hits, so it's a successful series.

Do you think that Sucker Punch and Sony get many fan requests for a new Sly Cooper game? I hope so!

Dude I'd die for a another Sly Cooper game. I even just recently made a blog where I listed Sly among the PSP titles I really want to see released.

Personally I do see the chances of another Sly game being created pretty high, especially with Sony now wanted to extend the fanbase of the PSP. so here's hoping.:D
