There's something wrong with this bridge....
...draw on it to complete the bridge!
Success! Carry on!
Enemies!
Slash!
They are now dead.
This tree looks sad.
Make it happy!
Hurray!
This already looks better than Zelda: Spirit Tracks!

Seriously must there always be a word in capital in the title for every thread you make. Anyway is this really a sequel or just a port?kulmiye
"According to Famitsu, Okamiden will be an all-new adventure in the Okami universe, though it will be set in the same areas as the PS2 and Wii editions."

[QUOTE="Silent-Hal"]Handheld? Bah. So much potential... wasted :x. Willy105Why? handhelds just aren't as good as consoles. it's a bigger gap from handheld to console than console to PC
[QUOTE="Swift_Boss_A"]Why did that made you sad?Sequel to Okami :o Do want! Oh wait it's for handheld :(
Willy105
I don't have a handheld and can't afford to buy one anytime soon with all the great PS3 games releasing. I guess I gotta start saving cause I absolutely loved Okami on the PS2, damn why couldn't they make it for consoles!?

JandurinWhy? handhelds just aren't as good as consoles. it's a bigger gap from handheld to console than console to PC Better get used to it. Due to the changing Japanese market, most Japanese games will start going straight to handhelds.
Better get used to it. Due to the changing Japanese market, most Japanese games will start going straight to handhelds.Willy105No, not really. Most Japanese games are still coming to consoles.

Most Japanese games are still coming to consoles. This gen, maybe, but afterwards, most franchises are going. Some are already doing it now, like Dragon Quest and Kingdom Hearts.

Fact is, most Japanese games are still coming to consoles, not handhelds.

Until handhelds get more comfortable, they won't rule.
They should have kept it for consoles. Imagine a next gen Okami! :(aaronmullanI'm not a Wii fan, that should be obvious by now. Even if it was for next gen consoles, I want it to look exactly like that. Ironic though, my favorite Wii game is a PS2 game.
In Japan, they already rule. Mostly to their culture, everybody is gaming on handhelds, and developers are putting most of the focus on them. Even Nintendo is doing that as well.Willy105What makes you think that Japan's trend will spread?

But if the developers are making only for handhelds in Japan, what makes you think they will port them to consoles just for the international release?
I don't. But if the developers are making only for handhelds in Japan, what makes you think they will port them to consoles just for the international release?Willy105Eh... most Japanese games are made for consoles. And besides a couple of franchises, there's no sign of that changing anytime soon.
the first time i heard about okami, i just thought, thats weird to put it on ps2 since the mechanic is all about brush strokes, which doesnt make all that much sense on the ps2, it makes a ton of sense on the wii or the DS especially imo
They should have kept it for consoles. Imagine a next gen Okami! :(aaronmullan
I don't want it to be next gen, coz i don't want to wait til Wii 2, 720, PS4
Besides Okami is a concept that clearly doesn't rely on advanced hardware
its all about the actual game design that makes it good, dungeons, enemies, story.
It doesn't need amazing physics, complicated AI, and better graphics would add little
Recycled moves, it's on the DS....this is looking more and more like another random sequel, it's not even being made by any of the clover ppl. It could be good but we'll have to see.

Okami also relied on great visuals and presentation mixed with that concept which already took a hit when they made for on DS.Looks amazing... but one problem.
There are too many AMAZING DS Games coming out!!! I don't think my wallet can take it!!!
They should have kept it for consoles. Imagine a next gen Okami! :(aaronmullan
This looks more like a remake than a new game.
They should have kept it for consoles. Imagine a next gen Okami! :(aaronmullanI agree Okami deserves a full fledged console sequel.
So it's a handheld game AND isn't being made by Clover? That's a fail right there. Still, maybe it'll end up being fun.Recycled moves, it's on the DS....this is looking more and more like another random sequel, it's not even being made by any of the clover ppl. It could be good but we'll have to see.
Dystopian-X
Yep that's right but you can't deny the fact that production value, presentation and overall technical aspects take a hit while being on a handheld. The people complaining about this being on a handheld must not play many games that way. This game is perfect for handhelds and yes you can get immersed in game worlds on handhelds thank you very much.
