Morgan Webb ask Reggie about hardcore gamers G4 TV

It was just so horrible to hear that. What's even more frustrating is when they were actually talking about AC, they were emphasizing the interaction and the speaker accessory, more so aiming towards the non-gamers. And like someone else mentioned, the GTA DS game wasn't even shown off. It was almost like "We have GTA, so that's good enough. We don't need to actually show any footage."

You know, some of the non-Wii owners or just some gamers in general might be right. Maybe Nintendo is just sitting on that casual crowd and aren't feeling compelled to really create big hit hardcore games, at least right now, and/or they consider the games already out are more than enough to Nintendo to please the core gamers, since they have such a big lead and are still to this day selling Wiis like crazy.

And more importantly the last part of the quote "and we're about making games." WTF happened to that!? I guess they are still games just not very good ones or ones that anyone who comes here would want to play. Or at least ONLY play those games.

In all honesty, I'm surprised they even MENTIONED a GTA game. I thought that would be too "mature" for them to show at E3. They're pushing this whole family friendly image and they actually take time out of their conference to mention a GTA game.

However, I still think that their conference was just slightly above abysmal.

I thought most animal crossing fans play it like crazy and spend huge chunks of time on it. So just look at any of them. This is another time when people are using "hardcore" wrong.

On a side note, it would have been **** halarious if the last thing they showed was Wii Music, and the started play the Rick Roll song and Reggie said "Gotcha!" And then the revieled loads of awesome titles, but they didn't.

The absolutely worse part about this for sheep was Reggie during the conference talking about how they would still focus on the core gamers... but then didn't give them a single bone the entire show. The guy is just blowing hot air towards them; he only really cares about the casuals.

this is something i hate about nintendo so far this gen, they have about 1-3 games they rely on a year, what happens if your not feelin one or two of their first party hits?

you get left out completely because you know the 3rd party games are going to be trash

Because the Wii is marketed to people who don't play games and because when whildren ask their parent for games they go with the Wii cuz it's the cheapest platform and it has games like Naruto.
