Batman Arkham City did extremely well for Steam sales. It's UE3 also so easy port. There's no reason not to!
AHHH doesn't work that way, so i was right. I KNEW IT 20 million sold on consoles omg thats AWESOME, 100 times more than the PC version sold, big fail for PC here. Too bad. PARTY!Nolakk
QQ moar. VG Chartz doesn't have a single shred of credibility and you still don't have proof of any numbers you try to pass off.
Got any worthwhile arguments yet? Or are you still enjoying making yourself look like a dumbass.
[QUOTE="Arach666"]Where is the source for your numbers,I would like to see that.[QUOTE="Nolakk"] And where did i say they are sad with it? I just said it failed miserably compared to console sales, which is a fact.Nolakk
And if that source is vgchartz then don´t bother lol.
What if its vgchartz? Oh wait does that mean if vgchartz says consoles version sold 6 million it can actually mean 10 million or even more. Well its still a fact PC fails compared to that. Isn't that so sad. You're an idiot. You realize that VGchartz usually only counts US retail, right?[QUOTE="Nanomage"]DD numbers from console games are counted and divulged in the overall sales of the game, unlike PC services like steam where they don´t disclose numbers. Big difference.[QUOTE="Nolakk"] Oh come one, after that question i lost interest in talking to you. Of course its sold through DD, do you even know anything about consoles? And even better not only the SSF4 version but also the other versions which means more than the PC even in DD. That could actually mean 20 million sold on consoles, PC fails so hard compared to that, big fact.Nolakk
And are you really trying to compare the huge ammount of people that buy DD on the PC to the minority that does that on a console? lol That was always the issue with vgchartz and the PC,I mean they show Crysis at 800k as of now when as of 2010 Crytek stated the game had already sold over 3 Million copies.
Exactly, that means vgchartz is under tracked which means when they say the consoles version sold 6 million copies it could actually mean 20 million, isn't that great? PC still fails compared to that...too bad i guess.Man, you keep getting owned in this thread, by every single reply, and yet you keep coming back for more! You must enjoy a good beating! :D
[QUOTE="Nolakk"]OMG i feel so offended right now! How dare you call me a "nub" and tell me to go play with my "toy". AND of course vgchartz is wrong, hello...they say the PC version sold 9000 which is totally wrong and say the consoles version sold 6 million which is ridiculously also wrong, IT SOLD 20 MILLION SON!!! How about that? Aren't you happy it sold so much on consoles? vgchartz sucks we should email them and tell them they are so wrong and should update it to 20 million sold. Anyway the PC still fails compared to 20 million on consoles...oh well too bad.ChubbyGuy40
You're a very special kind of stupid.

PC still fails compared to that...too bad i guess. You know how we can immediately determine that vgchartz is horrible at tracking? By looking at Portal 2 sales. They say that PC has about half of the sales of either console, when valve said it sold the most on pc.Yeah, and thats why it failed hard on PC selling around 10.000 (lol)[QUOTE="Nolakk"][QUOTE="Arach666"] Yeah, that´s what people said about SSF4.
Arach666
Yeah,Capcom must be so sad that they decided to put Street Fighter vs Tekken on the PC as well.
don't forget super street fighter 4: Arcade edition
that was also launched for the PC :P
[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"]You're a very special kind of stupid.NolakkOh now theres no need in trying to hurt my feelings. Can't we all be happy that the consoles version sold so much? I mean the PC is a failure, thats a fact, but it sold 20 MILLION on consoles, so lets have party now.
huh according to this, every street fighter game combined sold 29 million
and considering street fighter 2 on the SNES
so i'm just going to to say your numbers are very inflated
[QUOTE="Arach666"]Yeah,that´s what people said about SSF4. Yeah, and thats why it failed hard on PC selling around 10.000 (lol) Also, don't you just love when you see in the same page a topic saying "Why don't console peasants admit defeat to their PC Gaming Overlords?" and next we see topics of PC gamers BEGGING for CONSOLE games to come to PC, every single day. Yesterday was Dark Souls, today is Mortal Kombat, i wonder which one will be tomorrow. It just makes me smile when i read this kind of topics. Most arrogant post of the day. So youll say NO to people asking for Diablo 3 for consoles? Youre an anti-gamer , you shouldnt even be in gamespot.[QUOTE="ForzaGearsFace"]
PC is not gonna get it.
Nolakk
I would buy it on the PC. I would have the 360 version to kick my friends asses when they come over and the PC version to play single-player.

Ah, that update wasn't there when I linked it first. Anyway, I didn't buy a console for MK when it first came out, and I won't be buying one now either.Read the link again TC:

Good for PC gamers if true. I got it recently and it's a great fighter. I can't imagine me liking a fighter on PC though.

The game is set to be released on March 2, 2012for PC, 360, and PS3.starjet905
PS: Not quite sure about the source...
It's a mistake, the article is SUPER OLD.
The article from the strange source was from Jan 9th, 2012 and that version of the game (MK9 : Komplete) already came out for PS360.

EDIT : TC, why did you post this without looking into the page for at least 60 seconds? This is a big waste of time. People are arguing over nothing. You have the clues that the site isn't very well known, the article is old from January, the game in question released, and the fact the article writer/editor fessed up to the mistake in January.
The article writer already said at the bottom of the page where the comments go :

Best platform to play them on from a hardware standpoint.[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="SPYDER0416"]
People play fighting games on PC?
SolidTy
Worst Platform to play them on from a competitive standpoint.
That also applies to FPS´s and Strategy games on consoles as well, never stopped anyone from buying them though.Though, from a competitive standpoint, you can be competitive on the PC with fighting games since all input methods are supported there, while on consoles, only the controller is available for FPS´s and strategy games(UT3 aside),clearly a vastly inferior input method for competitive play on those genres.

I'm afraid to say, you are correct. You have nothing to fear, I'll settle for your first born or some gold bullion.
Fighting games used to be a huge part of my life, but the more the merrier as they say. :P
Fighting games generally aren't designed to push graphics anyways, which is where the PC excels.
Unfortunately, the TC posted an old January misprint in from a strange cite as a source for this MK9 PC false rumor, this was all a typo from a unknown/questionable site. :(

Since fighting games have to be so fine tuned for things like framerate drops and what not, it would make sense to put them on PC more often as you can have a stable frame rate. That also applies to FPS´s and Strategy games on consoles as well, never stopped anyone from buying them though.[QUOTE="SolidTy"]

Firstly, you just changed the goal posts from Fighting to other genres. I'm okay with talking about other topics, but what you said doesn't change anything I said. I never disputed or was talking about anything you said otherwise. My sentence was simple and accurate. Your point, while offtopic to mine, was just a different point completely. I have no problem with your point, and in fact I would say the same thing if that was the subject. I agree with your words, but it's not relevant to anything I said. We may as well be talking about Starcraft II now and then change the topic to InkBlot Tests. We just seem to be going where you want to direct the conversation, which is away from my point.
If this was a thread on Strategy games, I would be saying consoles are the worst platform to play them on from a competitive standpoint. I know because I love RTS and I play them almost exclusively on PC since their inception (arguable if you are a Genesis fan, side note).
Of course you can be competitive in FPS, Strategy, Fighting games on other platforms, but that's again an entirely different point.
I'll simply say again, Fighting games played on PC are the worst platform to play on from a competitive Standpoint. Anyone in the hardcore fighting community is well aware of this.
I actually own Fighting games on PC though, and will play you SF4 AE on PC if you like. I'll destroy you and then I will tell you how I got so good after the destruction.
Protip, it wasn't from playing PC gamers.
On the flip side, generally speaking, PC gamers would destroy console gamers in FPS and RTSas you well know.
The PC is not a "DOES everything the BESTEST, Number 1 UBER box with no faults at all", despite the fanboys on SW proclaiming. I have 4 PC's currently, two AMD's, two NVidia. I've had PC's since the shareware Doom/Wolfenstein 386/486 days. It's great in many respects. Every platform has a set of strengths and weaknesses however. The fighting game community overlooks PC, which creates a vacuum of great players on PC, which means less competition for PC gamers which results in low sales or non existent ports of fighting games to PC, like the game in question, Mortal Kombat 9 Komplete.
You quoting me to change the subject, doesn't do anything to my main original point. I am not going to be pigeon holed as I was clearly speaking in general terms. There are exceptions to generalizations, but in this case quite rare.
PC is the"Worst Platform to play Fighting Games on from a competitive standpoint."
Seriously though, I will play you if you want...and I haven't even played SF4 AE in a few years.

I know this, I'm not sure what I'm I can say but to respond I will say :
While that is correct in theory, not every PC machine is equal/static. So, while it would be nice in theory, it's just that. Luckily, since Fighting games aren't cutting edge graphic fidelity, they run really well on the static consoles. However, options of are nice of course.
The bigger problem is getting the amazing and diverse Fighting Game community to come aboard en masse and adopt the PC.
