The questioin isn't, what's your most anticipated game, but THE most anticipated game. The answer is of course GTAIV. The franchise sold the most games last gen, and a new one hasn't been released for 3.5 years by the time the game comes out. Go out on the street and ask a random person, "have you ever heard of Grand Theft Auto?" When the majority say yes, then ask, "have you ever heard of Metal Gear Solid," and be prepared for them to look back at you with a blank stare.
Whoa what a crap list, why is it always the cheesy crappy series milking Console Mascots that get so appraised ... god branch out abit seriously.... its getting tiresome.
Far Cry 2, Heavy Rain or Alan Wake. Can't decide. Those are the big three so far as far as I'm concerned. Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mirror's Edge and Alone in the Dark deserve some recognition too. Operation Flashpoint 2 could end up really good too, if they don't ape after GRAW and such nonsense too much. Etc. etc. Lots of great games in 2008.
Starcraft 2 i am the most excited for I'm still playing Starcraft to this day so of course looking forward to that
I was interested in Spore but after the last update done here by Gamespot it lost a bit of appeal to me but I'll wait till it eventually comes out and probably pick it up.
From that list i would have to say Final Fantasy 13 it is probably the driving force for myself to pick up a PS3 next year when we are closer to the big games coming out. Even though FF13 probably would be late 08 at the earliest but IDK.
GTA4 yeah I'll pick that up of all the games i named it's last on my list.
