Bioshock for sure. Team Fortress 2 is a close second though.

Killzone 2 is mine, personally. I love the gritty/dark environments, and I do feel that it is the most "accurate" depiction of what warfare deep in the future would actually be like (which is scary to think about) *puts away crystal ball*.
As for someone claiming realistic =/= artistic, you missed a few lessons in art clas$. CoD4 definitely has an artistic feel to it and it's very well done.
Does this topic mean artistic as in games which are art, or just visual design? Because most people are just posting screenshots of games they think look cool it seems. :P
TF2, and Bioshock. Bioshock probably wins but I just didn't find the gameplay all that great.Ace6301
How does the gameplay change the artistic value of the game? It wasn't like it was bad or game changing enough that any meaning in it was lost. :P
Why in the name of hell is Call of Duty even on there, most generic art direction ever.

No offense, but I've never seen a screenshot of that game that didn't look horrendous. To each his own, I guess.Killzone 2 is mine, personally. Tf2 or bioshock have left me stunned more than any other fps in terms of the way it presents itself. Take your pick.
I voted Bioshock, but let's not forget Zeno Clash.SparkyProtocol
I thought of Zeno Clash... never played it though... but isn't it more of a First Person Action game... combat is mostly melee isn't it?
Cause it's FPS I have to say Bioshock, TF2, Mirror's Edge and Killzone 2. Otherwise, apart from FPSs, I tend to notice, that asian games impress me more in terms of artistic looks.

Metroid Prime is more of a FPS than Mirror's Edge is.

I find it funny when people say game A is more of a FPS the game B. Both are, either something is or isn't a FPS.[QUOTE="moistsandwich"][QUOTE="KiZZo1"]

Calling Mirror's Edge a FPS is like some dude jumping on a trampoline for 2 min. and calling himself a gymnast.
Since reading between the lines isn't your forte. I was simply saying that MP with all the shooting you do is largely considered a FPA(ction/adventure) game, that being the case, there is no way we can classify Mirror's Edge as a FPS.
There... was that more to your liking?

Hey look he got it... why couldn't you?
[QUOTE="UnknownSniper65"]Don't you just hate that!? I hate how Single player is becoming an after thought. Remember when single player was made first and multiplayer if they had time? I mean look at the MW games. People go on about the multiplayer, but I despise it. I wish they would spend more time on their single player because it is truly superb and exciting. Spread the word brothaI actually liked the artistic direction of the original Halo....the opening scene on the spaceship was the highlight of the series for me.
the rest of the games felt very eh....too much focus on multiplayer.

XIII Out of all the FPS i've actually played, XIII stands out really well, however, it's been the only one with similar visuals or so i can rememberQuadsteragreed, i remember i finished it and instantly googled the sequel, i couldent beleive what i was reading when it said there WASNT one in production, one of the most dissapointing moments of my life, especially given the nature or the ending

NEITHER OF THEM ARE FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS! However Metroid Prime is closer to being a FPS than Mirror's Edge.... DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW!? It's not really that tough of a concept.
NEITHER OF THEM ARE FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS!moistsandwichhttp://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/metroidprime/index.html?tag=result;title;2 It says Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter in genre area.
I respect your opinion, but personally, I greatly preferred the realistic style prior to Gearbox's descision to differentiate their product from Fallout 3. (Not that the graphics would have made me enjoy Borderlands any more than I did... I guess I love stories more than cooperative loot grinding.)Borderlands i just love the artstyle.

Bit of a downer as I thought highly of its supposed originality. Still stylish as hell, something other shooters could learn from.Borderlands i just love the artstyle.
