Most badass vehicle in a video game?

that wasn't really a vehicle....it was more like a floating cannon

the fatboy from supreme commander

- can travel on land or under water

- weapons: 4 cannons, 2 machine guns, 2 anti air guns, and a torpedo launcher

- a shield

- it's a mobile factory so it can produce units as well

- can transport land and air units in a transport bay and under it's shield

I'm not sure. The Death Star could be directed from place to place, so I guess it would count as some kind of vehicle.

I was about to say Yoshi, but Yoshi is a living thing so meh.

I'd have to say it was the tank in GTA3, riding that thing in a busy street for the first time brought many thrills.

Pffff...Anything the Zerg mutates could take any of them vehilcles anyday. A little bit of zerglings (fully upgraded, of course) for the Goliaths, Guardians on the tanks, Scourges/Devourers on the Carrier and Battlecruiser, and let's throw some Hydralisks in there just for fun!

Quarantine and it's sequel Road Warrior were two FPP Action games released for PC by Gametek in 1994 and 1995. Quarantine was later ported to 3DO (and PSX, but only in Japan), Road Warrior stayed PC exclusive. And yeah...amazing games :)
