I've played most fighters but I don't see how anyone can top Ivy.  Do "Calamity Symphony" and "Summon Suffering" ring a bell?

Long range...

...and short range.

He's more tricky with the stances than flat out hard. You're right though, he's the third toughest character to fight when in the hands of a master, behind Ivy and Maxi.:wink:

For Ivy I mainly get in her whip stances and slash the hell out of people, I find it hard to do her throw. But if you can do all of King's and Armor King's throws no one will want to get near you. :twisted:

Akira from VF is an easy pick. Zangief is hard when you have to spin aroun on your control pad kjust to do some of his basic throw moves (which often miss if you're not really good) I also always kinda found Lei Wulong from Tekken difficult to use. It's so difficult to effectively use all use stances. In Guilty Gear I always had trouble using Potempkin. HE CAN'T JUMP! He's just a walking target. I've seen some people who got REALLY goo with him, but he STILL is easy to beat if you get the timing of his attacks down.

I hated getting caught in a 5 throw chain and not be able to break it, bad memories...

I'll go with the Zangief choice. Ivy is another good bet even if she's still top tier without her two amazing throws. But, this is about mastering a character, so Ivy is tough.

Ivy from SC2. Damn, to be able to switch from sword to whip while in the middle of a heated match + some of the longest button combinations for attacks made her nearly near impossible to master

Man i got so good at maxi no one wanted to play with me anymore but i would say maxi because one screw up and you leave yourself open while your whiffing air

Yeah that body check to double stunpalm is really hard to pull off,I'm sure you need a stick to be able to pull it off consistantly.

I think Ivy is an apt choice. My skills are not what they used to be in the mid 90s to early 2000s in regards to fighters, but I could never even do remotely good with Ivy.

One thing about Ivy for me is, once I got used to her moves, I'd play with someone else and forget how to play with her.

Olcadan from SC3. I got really, really good with him though. It's hard, because he uses a random weapon each match, but I got good.

Brad Wong from Dead or Alive 3/4. He is by far the slowest character (slower then some of the grapplers even) and is always left at a disadvantage during stances. However, the 5 attack stances he as, and the enourmous move list, means if you've mastered him, you're much better then most players

Peach from SSBM. One of the most akward combinations of aggressive and passive fighting styles, but if you could learn how to use her she simply destroys.

Exactly, she hasmany moves that have their own unique button combinations, seperate from an other move in the game. It's hard to remember them when you're getting assaulted by an angry Taki player.

Mewtwo isn't hard to master he is just rubbish.

Sorry but anybody who takes 3 years to float back to the ground in a game like Smash bros is at an automatic disadvantage.

Shrug. My favorite character of the 64 was Fox, then Falcon. Of SSBM, Roy, Fox, Falco, Falcon, but I could play any of them. Floating isn't always a bad thing. I mean, my friend could do some crazy stuff with Jigglypuff too.

Ivy is what epitomizes why I don't like most fighters. Press X + Y + W + Left Trigger while taping A + Triangle + Bounce Ping pong ball up + Left and Right D-pad buttons similtaniously + Power Button all while balancing on your head upside down to do the ULTIMATE FIGHTING COMBO!

I did like her more simple moves though :D

Jiggly can fall fast if you want him too and his multiple jumps meant that any floating he did do could be controlled.

I played the game a hell of alot and 90% of the time with random character select. It really lets you learn well which charcaters are and aren't good.

Mewtwo is the worst Character after Bowser. Even worse than Pichu.
