im willing to give you that MGS2 was sorta dissapointing after MGS1 but most definitely not the MOST dissapointing. and i cant believe you called FFVIII and GTA3 dissapointing. FFVIII had better gameplay than FFVII but FFVII had more loveable characters and better story thus it was SLIGHTLY better than FFVIII. As For GTA3...im just gonna walk away.... -.-

You buy and play ALL sport titles that are released annually? Or are you just assuming that they are dissapoiting because there is a tendency to think that releasing games annually is rehash before the game is even released?

And halo 2 is dissapoiting but the first game is not that good? don't see the logic. Next time base your opinion on your own personal opinion, not on other peoples opinion or reviewers opinions.

Starcontrol 3 - 2 was a masterpiece. 3 had a new dev team and it sucked.

Zelda II, anyone saying Halo anything hasn't played enough games.

I'd think about Suikoden IV, because of how much I loved III, but as for rpgs no game dissapointed like Phantasy Star III, which essentially killed the series outright.

i seriously hope your joking. there are alot of great games you just listed in there. RE 2 & 4 are both fantastic , halo 3 is better than halo 2, so i cant be the worst of all time, mario 64 and galaxy are both amazing platformers. seriously, 3 of the games you named are in the top 10 ranked games of all time according to gamerankings. i understand you may not rank them that way, but let me assure you, there are alot worse sequels than these games.

I was just trolling. Notice how everyone else ignored me? I on purposely pick games from what people claim to be the greatest of today and games from yesterday that were claim to be the greatest of all time. But I wouldn't had done so if I knew I was going be the only one... >.>

Deus Ex: IW- This games is basically the definition of dumbed down. Crappy gameplay and AI coupled with a linear and uninspired storyline killed this game and tainted the series.

Morrowind- Daggerfall was a CRPG gem, and I was expecting Bethesda to expand on it's formula. When I bought Morrowind I was pretty disappointed, since Bethesda drastically changed the series and somewhat toned it down. I still like Morrowind, but I can't help but wonder what it would've been like if Lefay's Bethesda had the made the game... (The reason why Oblivion isn't here is because I wasn't excited for it, so it didn't disappoint me. Morrowind is far better than Oblivion in my eyes.)

UT3- It was obvious UT3 was made for consoles, not the PC. The PC community is nothing like UT2004 and UT, clans and communities break up fast, unlike it's predecessors.

Wow. I came into this thread wondering if anyone would say this. RE2 is the best old style RE game ever and probably best real survival horror game ever. I think RE4 is better but its still more of an action game.

Oh god, Phantasy Star 3 was a disaster!!! I remember getting to the last chapter and then wondering around the entire map trying to figure out where to go. It didn't even follow the main storyline! Luckily, 4 was amazing.

We will never know what the most disappointing sequal of all time is since no one has even played every game out there.

I was most disappointed by FFXII. yes there are worse games out there.... but this game was in the making for so many years and had such potential.... they just forgot to add a story... the best thing about FF games.
