agreed. Dont know why people say its boring. No clue man. I guess because it had a little more serious approach than the previous games. Which I quite liked. If I want an open world game that is filled with stupidity, I'll go play Saints Row. As long as GTA is around, I won't be doing that though :P[QUOTE="millerlight89"]GTA 4 easily.EggHeadMan
Really glad to see people here found GTA 4 fun. I see nothing but hate here usually. Though the haters are usually the most vocal.

They're just mad its the highest scoring game this gen Yea, could be. I mean I just don't get it. They say GTA 4 is a bad game as if it was a fact and turn around and say DNF is a great game. I mean I don't get it.[QUOTE="millerlight89"]

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]It is fun, I reckon it would be better though if the main game was more like The Balad of Gay Tony. Balla of Gay Tony is fantastic I have to agree. I also will agree if the whole game was like that it would be better. The missions were just fantastic. I mean going from running away from bad guys while in a golf cart to parachuting to catch a falling gay guy, to stealing an APC. It was a fantastic set of missions.Really glad to see people here found GTA 4 fun. I see nothing but hate here usually. Though the haters are usually the most vocal.

I was addicted to the first game. My friends and I used to play the demo for hours on end.
I recently got Left 4 Dead 2. It is still a lot of fun but im not having the same experience as I did with the first.

I never really dicked around other than stunts. I never used any fun cheats either.Mr_Cumberdale

Yea I had fun and Steam says I put in 98 hours in 2. However I put in 400 in the first :P 15 in the demo :oThey're just mad its the highest scoring game this genBecause a web site's score has a direct correlation with fun for any given user? On top of all of this, the setting was probably the most exuberant out of any GTA game, embracing the nightlife scene of Liberty City in fantastic ways. I also loved how ratings were introduced for each mission, and you were allowed to replay whatever mission you pleased. BoGT is some fantastic DLC that trumps a good amount of full-fledged titles, to be honest.Really glad to see people here found GTA 4 fun. I see nothing but hate here usually. [QUOTE="drinkerofjuice"] BoGT is some fantastic DLC that trumps a good amount of full-fledged titles, to be honest.millerlight89Too true. I loved it. The characters were fantastic as well. Tony, had me cracking up in ever scene he was in. That's one guy I wouldn't mind chilling with :P I hope the next one has some nice Nightlife settings. If it is in Vice City (Miami) it is a MUST. Nightlife there is truly spectacular and a bit creepy on South Beach. Lost and Damned was also great.

I think why L&D didn't stick with me quite as much is because I'm not a huge fan of the biker scene. I couldn't really get into it quite as much. Though it was also great as you said. I personally have not had a bad experience with a GTA game. If there is one series that gets me all gitty like a little boy before Christmas it is GTA.[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="drinkerofjuice"] BoGT is some fantastic DLC that trumps a good amount of full-fledged titles, to be honest.EggHeadMan

I think it's a situation kind of like with the Fallout series, those that enjoyed the first two games don't generally like 3 and NV. I never played the first two games and loved 3 and NV.[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]I've noticed that a lot of people that enjoyed GTAIII, VC, and SA tend to not like GTAIV as much (me included), as opposed to those who had GTAIV as their first experience with the series. Lots of GTA IV love in here 8)
I too loved the game, however I was disappointed in the amount of things to do when compared to San Andreas, but it was still great.
But for me, the most fun would be close between that and Red Dead Redemption.
I'd say RDR takes the edge because I've had sooo much fun online just in Free-Roam with a group of friends for hours upon hours. If GTA IV had a better online setup, it might have won me over there.
See that's one thing I completely understand. I was a bit saddened by that. I missed the diverse landscapes, the RPG type elements and the little mini games and customization.Lots of GTA IV love in here 8)

I would have to go with Vanquish, UC games are a lot of fun too. And UT3, my fave MP.DeathtransitIs UT 3 still kicking? Or is it pretty dead? I think the PC version is a little barren, not sure about the PS3 one though.

Definitely! But it was still great regardless, and the multiplayer really does make up for a lot of that, it's just the setup (Waiting for the party leader to tweak settings in the lobbies) was awful, so I hardly played it. But it's a blast with friends.
I'm sure they will make Vice City II (yes, I'm calling it) quite amazing and deliver on both fronts.

See I barely played it too, it was poorly executed in terms of lobbies and stuff. If they used dedi servers on the PC, I think I would've been in heaven. I hope you're right about Vice City 2. I will personally go out and buy another console just for that, no lie. GTA makes me so damn giddy it isn't even funny. Please Log In to post.
