[QUOTE="BigDizz"]I dont think many will admit to playing it because their standards are much higher on FPSs since they claim theirs are far superior, and Biosock is a port if you ask mebrainiac24

By all means, I will be getting this on either PC or 360. Probably on PC, although I will miss out on achievements... (CURSE YOU MICROSOFT AND YOUR GIMMICKY YET ADDICTIVE IDEA!)

Bioshock PC is under LIVE isnt it?

Don't think so, at least I haven't seen it on "Games for Windows".

It is a "games for windows" game.

2.4 Ghz though ? i buily my computer maybe over 4-5 years ago and thats what i have. I think Crysis needs 2.6 minimum =/

Uh dont go by GHz. Most Core 2 Duos are less then 2.6 GHz and are much more powerful then any P4 up to 3.8 GHz.

Actually, the specs you provided from the link are the recommended specs. That will probably run the game from mid-high to highest settings. I meet those requirements easily. -_-Vandalvideo

Judging by this requirments, Gears of War should be roughley the same. Possible meaning there wont be any *non capcom* 360 Ports that will be a seriously heavy on the requirments :D

My comp meets those requirements, except for the graphics card. Still I'll probably end up buying iton the 360 for the achievements.

I would have to upgrade my video card to play it on my PC. I'm going to do that eventually but I don't have the money right now and don't feel like waiting to play Bioshock. And yes achievements are nice.

[QUOTE="mastershake575"]bu buh you need $600 video card and a q6600foxhound_fox

Here are the min. requirements (I understand your sarcasm, I just feel like posting them).

Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: P4 2.4GHz Single Core
System RAM: 1GB
Video Card: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
Sound Card: 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card
Hard disc space: 8GB free space

I should be getting a 3.06GHz P4 (to meet Crysis minimum) and have a X1650 with 512MB of VRAM and 2.25 GB of system RAM. I will definitely be able to play the game at medium settings at 1024x768 or 1280x720 with a framerate of 30-40. Comparable to the 360 version in every way.

Hopefully that's the Vista requirement because I'm running on 512 MB of RAM.

What about Supreme Commander on the larger maps? I've heard that that particular title will bring even a Core 2 Quad to its knees once you start cranking up the scale to epic levels.

I know but I've already been outside to get an XFXGeForce 7600 GS with 512 MB of memory yesterday (I wish I could get a PCI-e card but that'd require me to spend money on an entirely new computer) and a new power supply today for a total of $200. I don't feel like spending even more right now. Not even a dime.

Ewww dude, it would be more of a money sink to not upgrade to a PCI compatible mobo now. AGP is being phased out slowly.

Ah well, I'm not exactly the most patient person in the world nor am I the richest (bad combination). Technology-wise, I'm living before the stone ages.

I still need to know if 1 GB is the Vista requirement or not though.

By the time Bioshock is released, PC hardware prices will have dropped yet again and anybody with a decent job will be able to save enough money to purchase a PC powerful enough to meet Bioshock's recommended specs for around $800. If upgrading, even less.

The game better be optimized for the PC or it's going into the dumpster.

Strange thing is hermits clam that PC gaming is cheap compare to console gaming some how, and you don't have to update your system every year.

Yet look at these hermits posted above...

All their system are so up to date and can run Bioshok at highest setings...

I just got a new PC earlier this year Core 2 D E6300, I Gb Ram, 7600GT...I don't think my PC can run Bioshok as well as my 360 can....

Eh i can run it one MAX easily. I have 2Gb of XMS2 RAM, 7900GT KO OCed, a crappy Pentium 4 OCed to 3.6Ghz, My mobo already has a decent sound card built in. This is my crappy rig to. New Rig - 8800GTX/1Gb HD2900XT, Q6600, and a P35 mobo. You lemmings just are rediculous. The rig i have now i could buy for about $400-$500 now. Those are not steep requirements at all. Exactly; an E6300, 2GB RAM, and a 8800GTS is barely above $500 - that could probably run Bioshock just as well as the 360 version.

Because they don't have a PC that meets the Recommended System Requirements, and who wants to play games like this at the minimum?, no one I hope. Can you run Bioshock?

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo processor

System RAM - 2GB

Video card - DX9 - Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better) / DX10 - NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or better

Sound Card - Sound Blaster X-Fi series (Optimized for use with Creative Labs EAX ADVANCED HD 4.0 or EAX ADVANCED HD 5.0 compatible sound cards)

http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/802/802466p1.html

This is where 360 wins every time, I don't care if PC gets games like Gears of war or Bioshock, because most hermits don't have a rig that can run it, all that leaves is 360 FTW. So next time people say games like Gears of war and Bioshock are not exclusive to 360, you can laugh at them as most people will not be playing them on their out dated PC's so they may as well be 360 exclusives.

01SniperWolf

Minimum System Requirements:

CPU - Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single Core processor

System RAM - 1GB

Video Card - Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).

Sound Card - 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card

Hard disc space - 8GB free space

If you don't have that, you're not a hermit. Most of us will be playing Bioshock for its gameplay. Most of us will also be playing it at higher settings than the 360 version. Even the recommended settings aren't that high.

PC version > 360 version. Get over it.

Meh. They don't seem that demanding. Once I upgrade my processor, I should be fine playing at 1280x1024.

if they're hermits, chances are they're going to have a rig that can run it. :|

stop trying to say that multiplats are exclusive just because of some fantasy statistic you made up.

You need the recommended specs to play at full graphics and features. Most hermits that want to play it will play it. Ever heard of System Shock? That is why hermits will play Bioshock.

Most hermits arent even considered hermits if they dont have the minimum specs. most have at least slightly higher.

I'll be playing both maxxed out. 7900GT's are like $150 nowadays anyways.....

Not all console fanboys will be able to even play Bioshock , considering there are only 11.5 million 360 owners, out of the 150 million that owned consoles last gen. Have fun playing bioshock on your 360, GC, or PS2! Oh wait, that's right, you can't!!!! Most 360 users won't be able to play Bioshock at max settings either, considering only 10% have HDTV's........

I dont think many will admit to playing it because their standards are much higher on FPSs since they claim theirs are far superior, and Biosock is a port if you ask meBigDizz

Bioshock is a port? No, they are even making a different interface for the PC version, so it doesn't get consolized. Not to mention System Shock 2 is it's spiritual successor, which was a PC exclusive and is considered to be one of the greatest games of all time.

I'm glad I have a PC so I don't have to worry about replacing my Xbox with a 360 and buying an HDTV.
