lol, spoken like Nintendo fan. There is one real quality title for mario and that is galaxy. The others are just quick cash grabs that are more like ports fromt he gamecube. Everytime someone bashes Nintendo for abusing the Mario franchise the sheep come back but look at Mario Galaxy.....sure look at the ONE game but ignore the other games that are gamecube or DS ports right?

Mario Kart, Mario Olymipic Winter/Summer games, Mario Party 8, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Soccer, Mario Baseball, New Super Mario Bros (DS port)....shall I go on? They have been putting Mario stuff out for years and please spare me....."bu, buuu, they are high quality", because I actually played these games. Saying they are great games if you are 10 years old is one thing, but lets not pretend they are high quality when Nintendo only tries hard on ONE of the mario games every couple years (right now it happens to be Mario Galaxy). They have been milking this franchise since I owned the NES.

Madden seem to produce the same quality games ever year aside from this year ever since they had the exclusive rights from the NFL.

When you think about it, DBZ games are the most milked franchise ever. They are the only game that has had the same story/characters for over 11 games in 7 years, no one even comes remotely close to this insane statistic.The only thing that people would buy more of them is because they added 10 new characters or something. Now since they added ALL of them over 3 years ago, now they put less in there for no reason. That used to be my favorite fighting game too. It should be illegal to get away with something like that.

Mario is not milked. Mario is more of a character and mascot then a game series, and so Mario and related characters are spanned across multiple different game franchises that are all based on the characters and artwork of the main Super Mario platformer series. "milkage" would be something like Guitar Hero, where they put out 7 games in one year that are all identical to each other.

Mario games are very good, I'll admit, but they're milked to no end.

Even though Super Mario is milked, I am sure that most people won't deny how innovative the main series is. Although the basic premise is always the same (i.e. save the princess), Nintendo has found many different ways to go about doing that have ground-breaking influence on the rest of the industry. Not too long ago, Super Mario Galaxy challenged and blew my mind with what I thought could be done with the platforming genre and Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks to further flesh out that idea.

Aside from the various Mario Party games,those gamesall play completely differently from each other, unlike some franchises which constantly shoot out the same game with minor changes (guitar hero, etc.).

With all those pointless sports games, I'd say Mario/
