Most Overrated & Underrated Franchises .. IYO!

Overrated : Blizzard's Franchises.

Underrated : Fatal frame franchise

Overrated: GTA, Halo, Zelda-ish, Elder Scrolls-ish.

Underrated: No One Lives Forever, Heroes of Might and Magic, Thief, Fallout.

Overrated - MGS

Underrated - Pokemon, eventhough it scores well, too many people think they're for kids. Its core gameplay is way too complicated for children and it annoys me to see it ignored.

Overrated: Halo, SuperSmash, anythin has to do with far cry.

Underrated:Ninja Gaiden, pro-evolution soccer,

Blizzard? BLASPHEMY ... all thier games are very successful even years later, Icant say the same about FF games.... even their dire MMORPG is failing hard.

they should be reveresed for pure awesomeness :P

wow .. do yourself a favor if you have a wii get Zeldatp and Windwaker(GC) and download Zelda OOT from VC. if game cube get TLOZ: collector's edition(or somethin like that). you wont regret it.

What im getting at is, the guy told him to buy a wii and go play like 4 zelda games because they are appearently THAT GOOD. What im saying is, what makes zelda any more speacial than the dozens of other high scoring video games?

Zelda is now a tired system with weak plot, weak combat, weak exploration, and yet is held on this pedastal thanks to nostalgia. Atleast galaxy revived mario. zelda hasnt changed in 10 years.

but yea, basically it was people like him and his reponse which lead me to call zelda overrated. They are good games, but obviously not everyone has to think they are the second coming.
