Most overrated developer

Epic, id definitely have to say for overrated.

Most underrated? Naughty Dog.

Square-Enix

Squaresoft was great.

Enix was great.

SE is not.

Then they underrate developers like 5 Levels & Atlus .

who do you feel is the most overrated developer? i'd have to go with Valve since i feel their games really aren't that great and are average at best.Zero5000X

I'm sorry, how can you possibly say valve, out of all the other developers out there (Ubi Montreal, Epic anyone?).

They are the ONLY developers besides bungie that actually listen to their fanbase and provide quality shooters, and update them regularly.

There are way more overrated devs than valve.

Some of the Ratchet and Clank games and Spyro games were classics. Like Spyro 2

I really wish Naughty Dog would bring back Crash Bandicoot.

Not the crappy new wave one, the old school island running one was so much fun. some of the best platforming ever.

I think Blizzard makes great games :P Practically each one of their games is a masterpiece, imo at least.

On topic: I think Square is pretty over rated cos I never got into the FF series. I just couldn't take the "you attack me now I attack you" system.

how is blizzard overated,

people are still playing thier games that are like 10 years old. i would say they are most likly the best devellopers as far as gameplay is concerned, graphics might not be thier forte but they are awesome

i've logged on to warcraft 2( just for kicks, i do have warcraft 3 tft) once last year and there were still people playing it. thats more then i can say for almost any other devs games

Id add blizzard also, WoW is heavily, heavily Overrated.

Most people don't even regard that they actually had MMO's before it, like WoW, EQ, AC, etc.

The only reason I still support blizzard somewhat is because of their awesome Diablo Series, Hopefully Diablo 3 will follow the same formula as 1 and 2, The last thing we need is another cell shaded MMO with 13 year olds screaming about loot in vent.

I would have to say that no developer is truly overrated. They have their reputations for a reason, and, though your tastes may not be the same as those of their fanbases, the fans know what they like.thepwninator

All popular developers got their reputations by doing something rightconsistently.

well i'm talking about most overrated here so you have to take into consieration the popularity of the company. Valve is an extremely popular PC developer. I personally feel they are overrated because I don't think their games are really that great or special.

Blizzard without a doubt, there's just so many blind Blizzard fanboys it's ridiculous.

Bu-but, 10 million suscribers, yeah.. and McDonalds are the biggest fast food chain, do you consider it the best food you've ever eaten?

I agree that Insomniac isn't as good as the ones that you listed but I have to disagree when you say they are overrated. Insomniac makes great games.

Back when I was like 10 or 12, I remember playing the first Unreal.

Man that game was fun, the new stuff, not so much.
