As much as I love and am addicted to COD4, the game has tons of bugs and crap that should've been fixed a long time ago. I'm tired of all the lag, Host Ended Games, Connection Interrupted, cheating, not being able to mute people in the lobby, and the damn host advantage. These are all problems that probably could have easily been patched long ago but IW is just too lazy and doesn't want to spend the money.

As far as Bungie goes, Halo is overrated IMO so of course it's developer would be too since that's all they're known for.

I would call Valve overrated to. I mean, I dont think they suck by any means, but I dont think they're the best developers out there like some people. But then again, their games cater to othe people's tastes more than mine probably

How exactly is R&C anything like Mario? Based off of that every JRPG is a ripoff of Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. :roll:

Most overrated developer for me would be R*. Grand Teft Auto is good, but majority of there other titles like Man Hunt tend to be overhyped.

I'd probably say Infinity Ward, but it's as generic an answer as their latest game, which was still decent.

Bungie is also an overused answer - and contrary to a lot of hermits, I found Halo CE to be an excellent game. Certainly not the best shooter ever created, but it's really fun.

Overrated - Bungie, they make mediocre games in my opinion, I just dont see why everyone thinks halo is the second coming of jesus

Underrated - Naughty Dog, made some fantastic games back in the day (crash bandicoot) and Uncharted is a very good game, if a little short.

i'm actually surprised at the amount of talented devs.... sure once in a while a piece of crap comes rolling out but the top 20 devs make great games most of the time..

overrated? can't think of one... some games are overrated i think.. but that's mostly pretty subjective..

One developer that pops into my mind is Team Ninja

Bungie, Ubisoft, EA, Rare, Epic, Atari, THQ, and Factor 5.

I find it hard to believe that people keep posting Blizzard and Valve as overrated.

overated devs , I have a lot -

bungie : thought all of their games besides myth 1 & 2 were pretty average (played halo 1/2. marathon 2, Oni) . I do agree that they are pretty talented but for me their games always felt short somewhere (besides myth 1 & 2)

insomniac : they really made decent games but cows really place them up pretty high

ubisoft - their last devoloped game which i enjoyed was pop:sot, after that all the remaining ones are pretty mediocre

then, there are other devs who have made overated games here and there like Epic(geow) , infinty ward (cod4) , beth(oblivion) etc

Insomniac. Nothing against them, but I've heard some people putting them up with the likes of Valve, Blizzard and Bioware.PBSnipes

I heard Nintendo is using Monolith Soft to develop a game to fight Final Fantasy, but I doubt it will be anywhere near the quality. But it just might have a good story.
